No one's POV

____________

Rain drops fell on the windows. The sky was dark even though it was 10am. Wind blew harshly, making trees brush loudly amongst the house. There were no disturbances, only the peaceful sound of a summer storm.

It had been over 2 weeks since the small family of 4 arrived at the safe house. It would be nice to say there were no threats, not a single message, but everyone knows it's impossible with Oh Sehun.

The threats were short and simple. Constantly reminding them, he's out to kill. He made sure to always let them know exactly who he wanted. Everyone knew who he wanted. Didn't matter if dead or alive, he wanted Mina.

The messages haunt them. How detailed and descriptive he was about the things he would do. Mina couldn't take it. She got rid of her phone quickly and kept only an emergency line phone. It wasn't hard for just Mina, Chaeyoung was struggling too.

Sehun wanted Chaeyoung dead, and only dead. He knew exactly how to taunt her. What hurts more than using the ones they love most against them. He'd hit her hard with the many ways he'd hurt Mina and the kids.

Of course, he tried to make deals. Trade Mina in to him, and he won't hurt anyone else. He was never trustworthy. Chaeyoung would never accept any kind of deal that involves her family. If you asked Chaeyoung 2 years ago if she would be ready for this kind of life, she most definitely would've said no.

Except that isn't the case. Chaeyoung knows what she in for, who she's protecting, and exactly what she's doing it for. If she had never come into Mina's life, would she still be in this kind of danger? Even a person who knew nearly nothing about Mina would've said yes.

Fear was nothing new to them. Fear from being parents, from being targeted, and pressure from society. Even with all of this going on, they somehow managed to live a somewhat normal life. Ryujin and Yuna? They have not a single clue about what is happening.

"RYUJIN! Don't make me tell you again!" Mina was super tensed, and all she wants to do right now is relax. Mina is a parent, she basically isn't allowed to relax.

Ryujin is going through another rebellious stage. Well, more like her 3rd one this month. Ryujin refuses to stop pushing Yuna. Yuna is learning how to crawl, and all Ryu can think about is "How do I make this about me".

Cries from Yuna wailed throughout the house. Chaeyoung shortly made an appearance. Ryujin knows how Chaeyoung is stricter when it comes to discipline. Chae doesn't do violent punishments, but she does send kids to timeout.

"You heard her the first time, and you did it anyway. Why? Go on, you can explain. I'll listen to why you did what you did, then we will discuss an appropriate punishment." Chaeyoung leveled with the small girl. Using this mentality helped Chaeyoung grow to be the person she is now.

Chaeyoung's parents never hit her as punishment, instead they talked with her. A part of Chae is grateful for how gentle they were. She used to consider it the easy way out. She still believes her parents never punished her that way because of her real father.

"Y-yuna started to crawl again but- but I knew if mommy saw, then she would be happy for Yuna and not me!" Ryujin burst in tears and sobs as she explained why. Chaeyoung wiped tears off Ryu's face. She knew this feeling all too well.

"Okay. Breath with me, okay. I know what you're feeling right now. I was the exact same way with my baby brother, you know, uncle Jonghoon. Not only that, but I was so scared grandma wouldn't pay attention to me anymore when your uncle started walking." Chae stated.

"Everyone would cheer for him. I tried doing things, so they would cheer for me as well, but I was only scolded instead. I would push my brother and make him cry until one day my mom told me something." Ryujin kept strong eye contact with Chaeyoung as she spoke.

"My mom told me that it was okay that I was a little jealous of all the attention he received. Just because they cheered him on, didn't mean they weren't cheering me on too! They would cheer us both on every time I helped him walk." Ryujin's eyes lit up when she realized what she did was wrong.

"I spent so much time with my brother after that. I loved him so much that it was probably the last fight we had for nearly 10 years. Now, you're going to sit in timeout for 3 minutes and think about what can be done better." Chaeyoung hugged Ryujin and led her to timeout.

Three minutes passed and Ryujin was already like a new person. She smiled and hugged Chaeyoung. She thanked her Eomma for understanding why she was sad. Seconds later, she made her way to her one and only mommy, Mina.

"Mommy! Ryujin is sorry for not listening. Ryu thought about her actions in timeout, and I am ready to make a difference. Ryujin will try her best to help Yuna!" Mina thought it was super cute how Ryujin spoke in 3rd person.

"Thank you baby. Mommy appreciates your apology, but can you apologize to Yuna? I'm sure what you did probably hurt her." Ryujin nodded her head at Mina and made her way over to her baby sister, whose body was barely enough to hold her head.

"Yuna! Eonnie is sorry! I should've never pushed you. I will help mommy and eomma cheer you on! For now on, I will help you walk too, so we can play more!" Ryujin also hugged the infant. A smile came on to both their faces. Mina and Chaeyoung just stared at the beauty.

"I just know they'll be great siblings, like you and I were with our brothers. Thank you again for handling her, I was way too stressed to do it."  Mina laughed. She was just happy to see her family happy and alive.
