2 Weeks Later
"Eomma! Can I have these princess sheets? And Yuna can have these matching ones in her crib." Ryujin asked as she ran up to the princess sheets she found in the bedding aisle.
"Which color? Purple, white, pink, yellow, or blue?" Chaeyoung lowered to her level to see the sheets.
"Chae get them each 2 pairs. We can switch the sheets out on cleaning days." Mina recommended. She pushed the cart closer so Yuna could see too.
"Mmmm, I want the White and Yellow sheets. Get Yuna Pink and Purple!" Ryujin made the decisions for the both of them.
"White? Are you sure? Ryu baby, you still wet the bed sometimes, how about another color." Mina giggled a little. Ryujin isn't fully potty-trained yet.
"Oh yeah. Okay! Blue sheets for Ryujin too!" She laughed despite not getting her original choice. "Yuna! Isn't it pretty?" She showed the sheets before tossing them into the basket.
"Pwei" Yuna attempted to say pretty, but she isn't quite there yet. Expected though, she's almost 1!
"Okay, we have sheets, now we need to get dinner." Chaeyoung held Yuna's hand as they walked toward the food aisles.
"We need to get Yuna more solids. It's almost time for her to transition to solids." Mina reminded Chaeyoung. "Yuna you're getting so big now. You spent nearly 4 months in that safe house. You're already 11 months. We got there when you were only 7 almost 8 months!" Mina kissed Yuna's forehead.
"Let's get something that serves a lot of people. You know who's coming, right, Ryu?" Chaeyoung seemed more excited about guests than about food.
"Unnies are coming, right? Yui unnie will be there? Auntie and uncle?" Ryujin curiously questioned. She's very smart, Chaeyoung knew she would figure it out.
"Yup. This is why we need to hurry and finish shopping. What should we eat? Udon? Meat?" Mina thought about possible dinner options.
"Both! Ryujin wants to eat both. And we can have rice so Yuna can eat too!" Ryujin made sure to have options for everyone, even the youngest ones.
"Okay then. Both it is. Let's hurry so we can head back." Chaeyoung picked Ryujin up and walked to gather ingredients.
The couple quickly found everything they needed. It was no later than 18:00(6 pm). They usually eat around 20:00(8 pm), so they're really on schedule for once. They headed to the checkout, and this is where it gets tricky.
"Oh, Mina, you're going to have to pay and check out again." Chaeyoung nervously whispered to Mina.
"I know, I won't be able to do this all the time, you know." Mina laughed and went to the cashier.
Chaeyoung and Ryujin barely understand what Mina is saying. They understand only a few words. Japanese isn't much different, but it's still "Different" to them. They watched Mina finish paying and thank the cashier.
"Okay let's go!" Mina held a few bags in one hand, and Yuna in the other. Chaeyoung just nodded her head and placed Ryujin down. Chaeyoung grabbed some bags and handed some to Ryujin too. Of course, Ryujin got the light bags.
They walked to the car and placed the bags in the very back. Mina put Yuna in her car seat on the left side and Chaeyoung put Ryujin in her car seat on the right side. Another downside is Chaeyoung can't drive here yet, she doesn't have a license here. Mina does, though, so she's doing all the driving.
"Yui just texted me saying, "Eomma said to tell you we are almost at your house Auntie Chae Chae!" and for once she spelled everything right!" Chaeyoung laughed. Ever since Jihyo bought her that phone, she hasn't stopped using it.
"Tell her we'll be home in 5 minutes, we just left the store." Mina kept her eyes on the road. Luckily, their apartment is near many stores and places they may need to go. Everything is within 2-10 miles of each other.
"I can't wait to see Auntie Eri and Uncle Kai and Yui!" Ryujin gathered a sudden burst of energy at the mention of Mina's side of the family.
"I'm sure they can't wait to see you, too." Chaeyoung nodded her head as she agreed with Mina.
As they arrived at the apartment, 2 familiar cars were there. Chaeyoung and Mina grabbed the kids and the bags out of the car. They walked to the elevator and pushed floor 6. Ryujin quickly ran to their door when the elevator doors opened.
"Hold on, Ryu, let me open the door." Chaeyoung watched the little girl be super excited to see her cousin. As soon as the door opened, Ryujin rushed in.
"Yui!" Ryujin ran to her favorite older cousin. "Ryu Chan!" Yui hugged Ryujin instantly. The adults just laughed at their cute little moments.
"What about me!" A small voice filled the room. "Yeji wants to hug Ryujin too!" Yeji pouted.
"Oh! Unnie is here too! Hi Yeji-ah!" Ryujin finally noticed her best friend.
Everyone finally settled in the living room. Only Nayeon, Jeonyeon, Sana, Jihyo, and maybe Momo are coming today. Along with Eri and Kai there.
They caught up and ate food altogether. When Jihyo and Sana arrived, Jisu, Yeji, Yui, and Ryujin went off to play. Yuna played in Nayeon's lap, just like she always does. It finally felt normal again.
