I pushed Ace aside and rapidly shoved my sudden outburst of feelings back into my dark and crusted soul. I rubbed my eyes and straightened my shirt out. I looked at Ace. He patted my shoulder and gave me a gentle grin that softly grazed the edges of his mouth. I sighed as he gave me a slight nudge towards the door.

''You best be going'' He said. ''Don't want to hold everybody up.''

''Ace?'' I questioned.

''Yes Ivy''.

''This was my home. Wouldn't it jeopardise the mission if I went back. They thought I was dead.''

''Can I be honest with you Ivy''.

''If you have to''

''Quite frankly it would jeopardise the mission more if you didn't go. Don't get me wrong, River and Aspen are excellent agents, But they don't have the knowledge of the Palace grounds like you do. You're one of the strongest Agents here. It would be a mistake on my part not to send you.''

''I trust you'' I sighed.

''Good luck Ivy.''

He pushed me out the door and handed me my duffel bag. ''Be safe, please''. I nodded and gave him one last hug. After a few seconds I finally let go and felt my feet dragging me through headquarters, whilst my mind numbingly followed.

I met River outside near the black minivan that had been patiently waiting for us.

''Wheres Aspen?'' I asked.

''In her super secret hideout.'' He replied.

The driver opened up the boot and we placed our bags and other belongings inside.

''When did I pack a suitcase?''

''Aspen packed it for you'' River said.

''Oh god'' I replied whilst I hopped into the back seat. River sat down next to me, and tried to talk, but my mind was preoccupied with all that had happened in the last seven years. Tears threatened to flow as the memories danced throughout my mind, each step changing the memory. I knew River was watching and I couldn't give the satisfaction of seeing me cry. I turned to look at him.
