I waited for Ivy at the bottom of the stairs so we could go to the dining hall. I had managed to snag a quick shower whilst Ivy was talking to someone on the phone. Luckily there was another shower on our floor.

I heard the click of Ivy's boots heels on the polished wood after a few minutes. I felt a tap on my shoulder and spun around. There she was. Her beautiful dark hair gently swirled over her face. As it slowly fell out of the messy bun.

I couldn't stop staring. She was stunning.

I thought back to what Ace said earlier. 'She was the most capable'. Watching her now, it was so obvious. The way she carried herself was full of confidence even though she was probably breaking inside.

There was a certain strength shining through her hidden vulnerability. It gives you an insight into who they are and what they are able to accomplish. It increases your empathy and compassion for that person. It was a light that she emitted in every aspect of her life. It was a gift and it's a shame she has to hide it.

I just wanted her to know that she didn't need to keep waiting for someone to put her back together again. She wasn't just one half of a whole. The princess side and the Agent side. In my eyes she was already complete.

But yet I couldn't stop treating her like shit.

She went to walk in but I grabbed her wrist and drew her back towards me.

''What took you so long?'' I whispered.

''Oh you know, just a surprise visit from Aspen'' She chuckled as she walked further into the dining room. I followed her inside the room and took a seat next to Octavius. I watched as Alexander beckoned Ivy over and pulled her out a chair. She smiled at him.

Why did that make me mad?

The food had already been placed on the table. On the menu tonight was roast pork and a cascade of vegetable sides and salads.

I turned to glance at Ivy, wondering what she was doing with her cutlery. She'd chosen the smallest fork.

"Salad fork." She mouthed, noticing I was staring at her.

''Thankyou'' I mouthed back.

I kept an eye on her for the remainder of the night. Trying to keep up as she eventually went through each piece of cutlery with each different dish.

Dinner was finally over after six arduous dishes. Mostly containing salads and vegetables. I tried to listen to the conversation Octavius was trying to have with me, but my attention was continuously drawn over to where Alexander and Ivy were seated. They were laughing and cracking jokes as if they hadn't lost any time.

I was happy for Ivy, she obviously missed him while she was away but I was so mad at Alexander. I hated how easily he made her smile. The way he placed his hand on hers and how she let him.
