I shook my head with a small smile, before I was pulled closer towards him. He planted a small kiss on the top of my forehead, once again on my lips as if it was our first kiss all over again. Electricity ran through my veins and up my spine as he deepened the kiss. My mind had switched off for a moment as I took everything in.
He was amazing
And he is all mine.
But he's an idiot.
As if I'm just going to sit here. Waiting for them to come back. Waiting for STRIKE to fold over. Waiting in the hopes that my life and everyone else's will go back to normal. The only way to get something done is to do it yourself.
And that's exactly what I plan to do. I just need to wait a day. They're leaving tonight so that gives me at least twenty fours hours to sort my shit out ready to leave tomorrow night.
Twenty four hours until everything is over and our lives will go back to normal.
''Ivy, I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to go. It's already tomorrow''.
''Yeah of course, just don't rub you saving everyone in my face when you come back''
''How could I do that?'' He said, placing a small kiss on my cheek as he ruffled my hair. ''It's not gonna be the same without my partner''
''Of course who else is going to save your arse?''

''Not likely, he'll leave you to fend for yourself''.
''No he wouldn't'' River argued.
''I definitely would,'' A deep voice replied.
''Ace!'' I exclaimed happily.
''Agent Ivy, It's very good to see you awake''
''Who else is going to keep things interesting around here?''
''How true. I'm terribly sorry but River we are leaving now, go downstairs and get in the car''.
''Yes dad'' River grumbled as he walked out the door.
''Ivy..'' Ace said, as he sat down on my bed.
''Yes''
''Please don't ever scare me like that again. I don't know what I would do if I lost you to'' He choked out, pulling me into a deep hug''.
''Ace..''
''No, I'm serious I can't lose you. I would fall apart and no one would be able to put me back together'' he muttered. ''I love you too much to see you go''.
''Ace, I love you so much that words can't even explain it'' I replied, resting my head on his chest as he rubbed comforting circles on my back. ''Please don't die tomorrow'' I pleaded as small, silent tears ran down my cheeks. Ace deepend the hug for a fleeting moment before letting me go.
