My rage was a battle to contain and I was losing.
I hadn't felt this angry in a long time.
I chucked my bag on the floor in a fit of blind rage. The bag's contents were thrown across the room. Hiding behind weights.
I wiped my face and turned to stare at the wall. Rivers' words were like daggers in my heart, but under all that anger I knew it was just a level of underlying sadness. I didn't know what to make of it. Rivers' attitude had changed in an instant. Before he was being kind and reassuring and then almost like a switch was flipped he turned. Acting like a complete douche.
My fist went completely through the plaster wall before I realised it.
''Fuck'' I whispered. Small beads of blood were present on the edge of my knuckles. I wiped on my pants and quickly walked around and picked everything up, shoving them deep in my bag.
I stormed out of the room, brushing past River on my way out. I kept walking until my feet stopped in front of the king.
''Hello Henry''
''Hello Ivy, I just wanted to let you know that the castle will be hosting a birthday celebration for Alexander. He is turning eighteen.
''When is it?''
''Tomorrow afternoon to late evening''.
''Alright, I'll have to talk to Ace and River to arrange security measures, Since there will be a large number of people attending I assume.''
''Correct, well I'll leave you too it.''
I nodded and walked away continuing to wipe my bloody knuckles on my pants. Luckily they weren't badly injured. They were slowly turning a pale purple, nothing out of the ordinary. Given the amount of force I used, a couple of bruises were to be expected.
I gently tapped the door to my bedroom before carefully opening it. River laid on his bed with his hands over his eyes. I strolled over to my bed, dimming the lights.
''How did you get here so quickly?'' I asked. He didn't answer. Just looked towards me and rolled his eyes.
I sighed and pulled my pager out of my pocket, wincing slightly as my pager knocked against my hand. I dialled Ace's number and waited for him to respond. It only took a few seconds before his visage filled the room.
''Agents, what can I do for you this evening.''
''Hey Ace I just wanted to let you know that there is going to be a celebration at the castle tomorrow evening for Alexander's birthday. There is going to be a large amount of people attending so security may need to be increased, so we can look out for Octavius.''
''Sounds good, I'll send Aspen over in a couple of days, as well as a couple of level five agents. They should be able to arrive tomorrow''.
''Cool thanks Ace'' I hung up the phone before turning to River.
