We walked back up the stairs and through the corridor. I picked up my shoes off the floor and we walked back into the ballroom.
''Ivy'' Octavius called, running up towards me.
''Octavius are you having fun?''
''Yes, but do you know what would make this day even better?''
''What?''
''Will you please dance with me just like old times? '' he whispered.
I looked towards River silently asking for his permission before we went to talk to the King and Queen. He nodded his head and walked off as Octi dragged me into the middle of the dance floor.
''They're playing our song'' He said.
''So they are''. His smile grew and he reached up to kiss my cheek. He grabbed my hands and pulled me closer towards him. He laced my arms on his shoulders.
''I'm leading this time''. He chuckled.
We both started swaying to the music, my dress started to ride up, but I didn't care. At this moment I wasn't Ivy. I was Lavina.
I was Lavinia and I was dancing with my brother just like we did when we were little. We would slow dance in the same room every night. The old wooden floors, the warm terracotta paint and the deep burgundy furniture. That room was our witness as we danced together past the fireplace. The faint music ringing through the vents from the parties down below guided our dance.Octavius standing on my toes.
Our song ended and I was Ivy once again.
''Thank you Vinny,'' Octavius whispered. I bent down slightly and cupped his face in my hands.
''I love you and I always will'' I whispered as I planted a small kiss on his forehead''.
''I Love you until the oceans run dry''.
I smiled and walked to River who was standing near the entrance. We tried to find the King and Queen and noticed they were standing on the balcony upstairs.
We walked back up the stairs and weaved amongst Dukes and Duchesses until we came face to face with the King and Queen.
''We found some men lurking around, they tried to escape but we locked them in the cells downstairs''. River said.
''Thankyou agents for all your help tonight, If you'd like, you're free to enjoy the rest of the celebration off the clock''.
''Thankyou Henry but we really should inform Ace about what happened tonight. Wish Alexander a happy birthday for us'' I said, giving them a quick wave before walking with River to our room.
I closed the bedroom door, pulled my pager out of my duffel bag, and called Ace's number.
''Hey Ivy, What's up'' Aspens' voice filled the room. Her vibrant purple hair covering most of her face.
