She looked down at her,
Tears running down her face.
Her lover was dying,
What would you do in her place?
She was looking back at her,
As the scarlet red fluid
that was once running through her veins,
Was now staining her clothes ,
as she was trying to hide her pain.
She ran her fingers in her hair,
Smiling at her ,
Trying to cure her despair.
Life left her body,
Leaving her lover in agony.
She lost her now ,forever,
Her future was now as dark as ebony.
'Adieu, Rose,' she whispered to her lover,
Before screaming and crying
All the tears of her frail body.
It hurt more than if she was harmed herself.
Her cries were muffling her cries for help.
'It was too late , so why bother', you might say,
But instead, why don't you try to take the pain away?
If you lost someone you loved, you might understand,
That the pain she is feeling is one you cannot withstand.
Not alone, not without her by her side,
Not without her beauty, her kindness, her smile...
