Standing all alone,
The rain pouring down on me.
Drops of water running down my skin
Like tears of the deepest sadness.
It is so cold outside as the wind blows,
Wild, but inside, I feel warm...
I kneel down, facing the rain,
Allowing the water to pour down on me
Washing away all my tears,
My sadness, my fears.
It feels lonely, but the rain
Is the best company...
It listens to all my worries
And take them off of my chest.
I feel like crying, but for once
The tears running down my cheeks
Are not from sadness or sorrow,
But of joy.
A smile makes its way to my face, I feel free
Like a child playing in the rain.
As happiness fills my heart, I feel peaceful.
I feel peacefull enough to finally fall asleep,
Right here on the side of the road in the pouring rain...
Take me with you, take me in your arms loveable friend.
Let me fall asleep in your cold, yet comforting arms,
Forever...
