TW: mentions of rape and torture
Seren pulled her sword up. Or at least, she tried to. When the sword refused to come out of the table, she gave it another tug. Nothing. Blowing out a breath, Seren braced her feet and pulled. The sword only wiggled in place. Seren rolled her eyes. She could kill hundreds of soldiers but of course getting a sword unstuck was where she drew the line of her skill level. Huffing, she wrapped both hands around the handle and put all her effort into pulling it. But still, it refused to move.
Just then, a large body pressed into her back. She whirled around, already unsheathing a dagger. Pressing it against the man's neck, she practically hissed at him. But when she realized it was only Rhys, she dropped her hand. Her face turned slightly red in embarrassment but she hoped Rhys would just assume it was because of the fighting.
Rhys pressed himself so his body was lined up with hers and with one hand reached around her. Seren couldn't think with him this close to her. All she could process was every hard muscle of his bracketing her in. His arm flexed and she looked down to see the veins of his arm. With a grunt, he pulled her sword out of the table.
She wanted to slap her face. Of course this was his goal, she thought, Why in the Cauldron had her mind gone to a completely different place when he pressed himself against her?
He smirked down at her and handed her back her sword, handle facing her obviously. Rhys was nothing if not thorough with his protection of her.
As Seren grabbed her weapon, her fingertips brushed his hand. When she put her sword back in its sheath, she pretended not to notice his hand flex as if he was trying to forget about her hand on his. She narrowed her eyes at him, "I loosened that for you."
"Sure you did sweetheart," he said as he winked and walked away.
When Seren's jaw dropped, Cassian started laughing loudly. Seren shot him a glare and he shut up. Surveying the room, Seren noticed that every single soldier was dead. "Despicable creatures," Az muttered under his breath.
All four of them moved on to the next room. It was unoccupied. They all split up to go through the rooms faster. The rest of the rooms Seren checked were unoccupied. The majority of the soldiers must have come running when they heard the fighting in the main room. She was about to turn around and find her boys when she heard a noise. As she walked down the hallway, Seren could hear movement. "No, please don't do this to me again," Seren heard someone cry from the other side of the door.
"Shut up bitch!" some male yelled.
Not waiting to alert the bat boys, Seren slammed the door open. She paused in shock for half a second. Three soldiers were there. Along with a female with bright red hair sobbing. She was stripped of clothes and tied to a table. The male she assumed was the General had his pants unzipped and held her down with a hand. If Seren thought she had been mad before, this was a whole other level. She was furious.
Reaching behind herself, Seren grabbed the hilt of her sword. She wasted no time and ran towards the three males. Channeling all of the rage she felt, she forced the two males standing around into combat. By the time the General had pulled his pants back up, one of his soldiers already laid dead at his feet.
She battled the General and his soldier simultaneously, moving so fast that they couldn't keep up with her movements. The only thing that went on in her mind was that there was an innocent Priestess tied to a table and she had been begging for them not to rape her again. The anger fueled her movements. Spin. Duck. Slash. Her body urged her to kill. At this point, they were no longer fae. They were demons sent straight up from Hell.
She paused, then quickly kicked the General in the stomach. He crashed into a cabinet on the other side of the room. Seren turned her attention to the other soldier. With a flick of her hand, his blade was sent flying. It made a loud clunk when it hit the hard floor. She stalked toward him. Then, she froze him with her mind. The soldier screamed. But all Seren did was smile at his terror. She tilted her head at him, "What shall I do with you?"
Seren surveyed his body. Like lightning, she struck out and chopped off his left hand. The male screamed in agony. His screams intensified as she sliced his right hand off. "That's for touching her with your cowardly hands," Seren hissed.
Then she pointed her sword at his crotch. "No! Please oh God no! I beg you. Don't do this," the male sobbed.
Seren spit on his face, "I'm the only God you'll hear from. I am your destruction."
She slowly, very slowly, sawed off his dick. The male screamed and screamed. He begged her to stop. She wouldn't stop though, not until he had been punished for his crimes. But no amount of punishment would be enough for the vile acts he committed.
Leaving him on the floor to bleed out to death, Seren turned her focus to the General. He whimpered and she saw a wet spot appear on his pants. Seren grinned sadistically down at him. "Please!" he cried, "Please don't hurt me. I'll do anything!"
Her gaze hardened, "Don't you dare utter another word to me. You dug your grave. I hope your body rots in it for all of eternity."
She raised her hand and his body was suspended in the air. Seren heard Rhys, Cass, and Az run through the doorway. They abruptly stopped at the sight before them. The General's leg snapped. His screams mixed with his soldier's. The General's fingers broke. Then his elbow bent at a strange angle. She crushed the bones of his feet. His collar bone broke through his skin. Seren was meticulous in her torture.
She made sure to keep him conscious and alive. No bones punctured a vital organ. But she made sure that every single bone had been snapped, crushed, or broken. The male screamed and wailed in pain. Finally, she snapped his jaw. His dead body hung in the air for a moment longer before Seren released his hold on his body and he came toppling to the ground.
Quickly, Seren rushed over to the young fae trapped on the table. She worked to undo her bindings as Azriel came up to them both. He took off his shirt and covered her in it. Seren sighed, "I left the soldier alive in case you wanted to question him."
Then turning to the female, Seren asked, "What's your name?"
"Gwyn," came her shaky reply.
"Well Gwyn, my name is Seren. Is it alright if we take you with us? I promise that we will all take very good care of you," Seren said softly.
"Okay," Gwyn said as she sent a glance at Azriel who was still standing by her side.
His shadows had almost unconsciously started reaching out to her and she looked at them curiously. When Az noticed, they disappeared. His cheeks turned pink and he rubbed the back of his neck subconsciously. He cleared his throat, "My name is Azriel. Would you feel comfortable with me carrying you?"
She nodded and gently Az slid his arms under her back and the back of her knees. She leaned into him slightly. Seren smiled sadly, "Let's go home."
