After taking a long bath, Seren started to get ready for the party. She wanted to wear something that showed off her body, but not in a flashy way. Although she loved a good sheer dress, she didn't think that would be Tarquin's style. So, she selected a baby blue dress which hugged her body and had pretty beaded flowers. With the white, strappy heels the whole outfit was very 'Summer Court'.

As soon as she walked out of her room though, she came to a standstill and her mouth opened slightly. Standing across from her was Rhys. But not just everyday, normal Rhys. He wasn't wearing a black suit. Instead, he had on a white collared shirt which was unbuttoned with the sleeves partially rolled up. He also was wearing light gray pants and glasses. Seren had never in her existence seen Rhys wear glasses.

So what did she do? She just stared at him. She stared at him for so long that he cleared his throat and fixed his shirt. Seren tried to speak but her mouth just kept opening and closing like a fish out of water. He looked good. Like really good. "Use your words darling," Rhys smirked.

"Holy shit," was the only response she could come up with.

     He laughed, "What?"

It took Seren a moment to formulate sentences, "I never thought I'd see the day where Rhys, High Lord of the Night Court, would wear any color besides black."

He rolled his eyes, "It's a Summer Court party. You think I was about to turn up in an all black suit? That's not very summery."

She nodded her head, eyes still wide. Thankfully, Amren walked out into the hallway and broke the awkward conversation, "Huh, nice outfit choice Rhys."

Amren had on a sequined two piece set. At least, she was still wearing something predictable. Seren didn't think she could handle it if Amren decided to also drastically change up her look. "You look stunning," she said to Amren.

"As do you," Amren said back.

A guard met them in the hallways and led them down to the yacht that was anchored on a dock. Seren caught sight of many different fae roaming around the boat and she could hear endless chatter streaming from all corners of the yacht. When the three of them got on, many fae stopped what they were doing to observe the trio. After all, it wasn't just any day the top three members of the Night Court showed up for a party. Tarquin suddenly walked up to them with Cresseida and Varian flanking his sides. "Ah, it's a pleasure to see you again," he said as he kissed Seren's cheek.

She smiled as he offered her his arm, "Well, thank you for inviting us."

Tarquin led her up to the top deck and to the railing. They both watched as the boat departed from the dock. "Where are we going?" Seren asked.

He shrugged, "Oh, just around the coast. Nowhere in particular."

Seren was about to respond but was distracted by the sight of Rhys sitting and talking to Cresseida on the other side of the boat. There were too many fae to hear what they were saying but Cresseida laughed at something he said and grabbed his arm lightly. Seren gritted her teeth but forced herself to refocus on Tarquin. Rhys was free to get with whoever he wanted. He had made it perfectly clear on multiple occasions how he felt about her. "So tell me," Tarquin started, "If you could get one gift, what would it be?"

     "Oh that's easy, jewelry."

     "Any type in particular?"

"Anytype is perfect for me. As long as it's beautiful. That's actually something Amren and I have in common. We are addicted to anything sparkly."
