Seren practically ran back to her room once she closed Rhys's door. She couldn't believe that she basically climbed onto him in her sleep. And then something had compelled her to start tracing her tattoos? What was wrong with her?
But to make matters worse, feeling Rhys's hard cock had made her want to do so many things to him and for him. It wasn't for you, she thought, Every guy gets morning wood. She mindlessly slipped on her Illyrian leathers and laced up her boots. Quickly braiding her hair, Seren wondered what Rhys wanted her to find. And why did he want to make sure she was the one that found it? Why couldn't he just go get it? That would be a hell of a lot easier than sending Seren into the Weaver's cottage to steal Cauldron knows what.
Rhys was waiting in the dining room, talking quietly to Azriel. Seren snagged a piece of toast off his plate and sat down across from him, "What are you two talking about?"
Azriel looked at Rhys, "Oh, just about your little mission today."
"Oh, I just had a great idea! Why don't we just send Azriel's shadows to retrieve this object for you?" Seren asked Rhys.
"Yeah Rhys, why don't we just do..." Azriel was cut off when Rhys not-so-subtly stepped on his foot, "Ah! What the hell man?"
"Azriel is busy today," Rhys said while giving Azriel a hard look.
"Oh, haha yep. I forgot I have some really important stuff to be doing today. You know, spymaster stuff and all that jazz," Az quickly backed Rhys up.
He then abruptly got up and turned to Seren, "Have fun, don't get killed."
As Azriel disappeared into his shadows, Rhys stood, "Are you ready to go?"
Shoving the last bit of toast in her mouth Seren nodded. She walked around to where Rhys was standing. He offered her his hand and before she knew it, the two of them had landed in a forest. They both took in their surroundings before Rhys started walking. "Sooo," Seren said as she ran to catch up to him, "Are you going to tell me why you can't just go in and get this mysterious object yourself?"
"Nope," was Rhys's only response.
"Fine," Seren huffed, "Are you at least going to tell me which object I'm supposed to be looking for."
At this, Rhys smiled, "Just get whatever speaks to you."
She snorted, "So basically I'm just supposed to steal whatever object I like the most."
Rhys came to a halt, "We are here."
She couldn't see anything over the huge bushes in front of them. Seren tried to rise on her tiptoes and jump up to see, but no such luck. Rhys let out a chuckle and Seren smacked his chest, "Shut up, we can't all be as freakishly tall as you."
"Apologies."
He didn't sound sorry at all. Seren backed up a little bit before giving Rhys a mock salute, "See you on the flip end."
He looked slightly confused but she started running toward the bushes. Jumping onto a boulder for a little more height, Seren vaulted herself over the hedges before coming to a couch on the soft grass. A cute, little cottage was in front of her. The house didn't seem to match the stories Seren had heard of the Weaver. It looked like a normal, albeit small, place to live.
The door was wide open, as if inviting the fly into the spider's web. Seren carefully walked closer to the door and soon, she could hear faint singing coming from inside. Poking her head around the doorframe, she looked inside. The Weaver sat at a spinning wheel, spinning something Seren didn't want to think about. Her back was to the door but from what Seren could tell, The Weaver looked young and pretty. She had a beautiful singing voice.
