Azriel, Cassian, and Seren were outside training when Rhys interrupted them all. "The Summer Court has approved our request to visit them," he informed the group.

They all stopped what they were doing in favor of the new development. "Who are you taking with you?" Cassian asked, breathing heavily from his workout.

Originally, Rhys was supposed to take Feyre, Amren, and Seren with him to the 'visit', but Feyre had recently gotten sick and wasn't in shape to go traveling around Courts at the time being. Rhys paused for a moment, "I think that Amren, Seren, and I are enough to do the job. Although Feyre would've been a good edition, Seren and Amren were the ones who created the Book of Breathings in the first place. If anyone can track it down, it's those two."

Cassian looked offended, "You don't want me to come with you?"

Azriel sent him a look, "After the last time you visited? Didn't they literally ban you from going back?"

Glancing at Cass, Seren raised an eyebrow, "Do I even want to ask why you were banned from the Summer Court?"

He scoffed, "It was no big deal. They totally overreacted."

Azriel snickered, "I'd say knocking down a building wasn't an overreaction."

Seren couldn't help but laugh at the thought of Cassian demolishing a building, "Oh, you are definitely telling me the full story when I get back."

Cassian avoided Seren's eyes, "I think you should probably go pack now."

As Seren walked away, she heard Cassian, Azriel, and Rhys squabbling in the background. Illyrian babies, she thought while shaking her head.

Seren was excited to visit the Summer Court again. She loved the hot sun and warm beaches that surrounded the palace. And she was also interested in getting to know their new High Lord, Tarquin, a bit better. She had had only a few conversations with him Under the Mountain but she didn't know him that well.

She packed a suitcase of her cutest summer clothes and prepared to leave. She put on a dress of different shades of blue since it reminded her of the ocean. Seren paired the dress with a pair of gold heels and a simple gold necklace to match. Rhysand had told her earlier that the Summer Court had an extensive vault that held tons of priceless jewelry. Amren and her had immediately perked up upon hearing that information.

Finally finished getting ready, Seren met Rhys and Amren downstairs in the living room. Amren had on some flowy pants and a crop top, the usual Night Court style, and Rhys was wearing a black suit. Some things never changed. The day Rhys showed up in something that wasn't a black suit would be the day pigs flew. "Ready ladies?" he asked.

Nodding in agreement, they all winnowed to the top of the palace. Tarquin's letter had specifically informed them that his party would greet them up there. When she landed, Seren stumbled slightly in her heels because of her heavy suitcase. As she was about to tip over, a strong hand reached out and grabbed her arm to steady her. She sent Rhys a thankful glance before setting her luggage on the ground. Just then, she heard footsteps walking up to them. "Greetings friends," came a voice that flowed like water.

Looking across the patio, Seren saw Tarquin and two other fae with the same dark skin and white hair that was unique to the Summer Court. A couple of staff members trailed behind them. Without prompting, they grabbed their luggage and started carrying it away. "They'll go put your bags in your room," the female said, "My name is Cresseida, Princess of Adriata and Tarquin's cousin."

Cresseida was beautiful and sent them a stunning smile but Seren could see the dislike she tried to hide on her face. The other male spoke up, "I'm Varian, the brother of Cresseida."
