     Bang!

Something rattled from Seren's door. She sat up groggily, looking outside and seeing that it was still dark.

     Bang!

The same noise came from her door. "Seren!" someone shouted from outside her room.

Quickly, she walked over and opened the door. Feyre stood, panting, in her doorway. "Someone..." Feyre cut herself off, trying to catch her breath.

"Someone brought down the barrier in between the human lands and Prythian."

Immediately, Seren knew it wasn't just someone. It was the King of Hybern with the Cauldron. Only something as powerful as the Cauldron could bring down the Wall.  "Okay, I'll go talk to Rhys. Thank you for telling me," Seren said to Feyre.

She flashed her a quick smile before Feyre turned and left. She knew that they couldn't do anything currently to combat Hybern. With that much power behind them, it would be useless to try and stop them now. Especially since the Wall was already down. But this was still extremely concerning news. Although she was only in her sleep shorts and a bra, she ran across the hall to Rhys's room. Without waiting, she barged in. She skidded to a halt. She couldn't see a single thing.

Darkness coated the room, like a warm caress against her skin. It was sensual causing her skin to prickle with need. Her breath caught as the need for someone to touch her washed over her. Her nipples hardened into stiff peaks and she squeezed her legs together to try to tamper down all of the sudden urges she was feeling. At some point, Seren had closed her eyes. She snapped them open, finally coming to her senses. What the fuck? What in the world was this?

"Rhys?" Seren whispered into the darkness.

She received no response, but she knew he was in here. She could feel his presence. She could feel him.

Holding her hands out in front of her to ensure she didn't run face-first into a wall, she slowly made her way to where she knew Rhys's bed was. The room was so dark, it felt as if she had a blindfold on. Her knees suddenly hit the edge of the bed and she lost balance. Tipping forward, she landed on the bed with a soft thud. She could feel a large figure laying down a couple of inches away from her.

Trying again, she said louder, "Rhys?'

A deep groan sounded in the darkness. Was he okay?

Feeling around, her hand came into contact with warm skin. Letting out a breath of relief that she had found him, she let her hand slide up his leg, past his knee, until she could feel one of his powerful thighs. She stiffened at the touch of bare skin though. He wasn't wearing anything. She squeezed her thighs together again. Shaking her head, trying to clear it, she moved up so she was next to him. Lightly tracing her hand along his side to make sure she didn't lose him. Her knee brushed up on something warm in front of her and she felt his body shudder.

     He had his wings out.

Seren was about to call out his name again when another groan met her ears. "Seren," he breathed out.

    "Are you alright?" she asked.

He sat up and she felt his hands reach out and glide up her waist. His hands felt so good on her.

Quickly before she could stop him, he pulled her on top of him. Immediately, she felt his hard length press up against her center and her breath hitched. Even though she knew his face was almost directly in front of her, she couldn't see anything in the pitch black darkness of the room. His arm traveled around her and she felt one of his hands grip the back of her neck as he lent in and pressed a delicate kiss to the base of her throat. "Rhys," Seren said breathily.
