Clary was panicking. None of the boys had turned up to their afternoon lessons. She had sent an ungodly and almost psychotic number of messages apologising to Namjoon and explaining that she didn't kiss back nor did she want Marcus to kiss her and that she had been angry at Namjoon's consistent rejecting her in public.

Clary sat with her hands on her head. "Oh god it's bad." She mumbled. She knew she had fully ruined it, and judging by all of her texts being delivered it appeared that Namjoon had turned his read receipts off making it worse. "I can never show my face again."

Katie rubbed her friends shoulder in consolation. "It will be okay he probably needs space to cool off and then he will talk I'm sure of it!" She was desperately trying to give Clary hope in the situation but Clary was already growing more agitated and miserable by the minute. "Why don't I cancel me and Tae's cinema date and we can have a girls night?" Katie offered, she wanted to take all the hurt away from her best friend.

Clary shook her head, "I wish but I can't, I told Lucía that I would visit with snacks tonight to keep her company." She mumbled. Lucía had been off school for months recovering from appendicitis surgery and Clary had arranged to visit her with snacks to have a movie night. "You can come along if you want?"

Katie shook her head, "I wouldn't want to intrude." Both of the girls knew that Lucía was more Clary's friend than Katie's. "It'll be good for you two to catch up! You've not seen her in ages." Katie tried to put a positive spin on the situation.

"I know, does that make me a bad friend? I've been so caught up on my own drama recently, I did offer to stay late though because her parents are out." Clary scratched her slightly aching head.

"You're not a bad friend at all don't even say that!" Katie playfully hit Clary on the shoulder. "I'm sure Lucía will understand once you fill her in on everything."

Clary nodded. "I guess you're right. I'm going to head straight to hers after school and get the last train home so don't wait up for me after the cinema."

"I think it's a later showing so we can meet you on the last train so you're not going all the way home alone." Katie spoke without looking up from writing in her text book. Clary smiled, Katie was such a caring friend, she knew that she was so lucky to have her by her side to always make her feel better.

The school bell rang signalling the end of the day and Clary and Katie both split up after saying goodbye and exiting the classroom. Katie had went off to find Taehyung who had messaged her saying that they were still on for their date. Clary was surprised Taehyung wouldn't be at home consoling Namjoon. She sighed. She couldn't stop thinking about him. She couldn't stop imagining the look of hurt and disappointment on his face.

Clary walked outside the main entrance of the school, she was glad to have the cooler air hit her face. The breeze was refreshing and soothed her aching head a little. Clary speed walked outside of the school grounds ensuring that she wouldn't bump into Marcus especially since Lucía lived in a more rundown area on the outskirts of a town.

Clary had bought snacks for her friend before school, so all she had to do was walk to her apartment. Clary was quite excited to see Lucía, she walked with a spring in her step. She wondered what Lucía would think of the situation and imagined her friend telling her to run for the hills. Clary smiled to herself. She missed having Lucía at school by her side. She glanced at the time on her watch noticing that the sun was quickly setting because it was coming into the height of winter. Clary shivered. There were not many street lamps in the area where Lucía lived because parts of it was derelict. Nevertheless she sent a text to her Latina friend dictating that she was about fifteen minutes away.

Clary glanced up at a block apartments that used to hold such familiarity for her. The part of town was naturally dodgy therefore it consisted of many apartment blocks all connected in a row. It didn't matter that all of the buildings appeared the same on the outside for the building in which Marcus used to live always brought back haunted memories of what it looked like inside. Clary gulped. She had stood outside the building and had not noticed that she stared at the bricks for a good ten minutes before zoning back into reality. She shook her head. The past must stay in the past where it belonged.
