Betrayal. That's what you get when you invest trust into someone, invest infatuation. It will always be the end result no matter the form. Betrayal is exactly what he deserves. She told herself again and again until she almost believed. He fucked with you so now you are obligated to fuck with him. Clary did not want to play nasty yet sometimes the hero had to become the villain. If you want something then a sacrifice must be made and that is a lesson one must learn from a young age.
Clary had everything figured out. She lay beside Namjoon who was snoring softly, forcing herself to stay as awake as she possibly could. She fought sleep as if it was a battle although clearly it would be the easiest battle of this night. She waited, counting down the hours, the minutes until it was 3:50am.
She turned around to face Namjoon and as she moved into position closer to him she reached lightly into the pocket of his sweat pants and took the keys, she slowly moved them so that they wouldn't make any noise. Upon realising Namjoon did not even so much as stir Clary grew surprised, was this actually going to be easy? She slipped out of bed and grimaced at the touch of her bare feet on the cold floor. She glanced at the time. 3:51am. Exhale. Clary reached for her black school trainers and slipped them on quickly.
She tip-toed into the hallway knowing that once she reached the landing of the stairs that she was safe. She grasped onto the bannister of the stairs and exhaled again, this time it was heavier. Clary wasn't entirely sure how she could see so well in the pitch darkness, she guessed that it was a rush of adrenaline. She knew that she would be against the clock very soon so she rushed downstairs as quickly and quietly as she could until she reached the door to the gym on the first floor, or at least she was certain it was the gym.
Clary pushed the door and it creaked slightly. She paused momentarily to listen. Everything remained still and silent so she continued and treaded carefully through the gym to the opposite side. She attempted to push open the door in front of her but it was locked. Shit. She fumbled around with keys trying each one as fast as she could until she finally got one which fit the door. Yes! It had only taken her about nine attempts. She opened the door and the lights automatically turned on with her presence.
Most of the firearms were locked up in clear cabinets and Clary first of all was not comfortable touching them never-mind trying to find the right key considering there must have been over twenty on the key-ring she held. She immediately turned to the knives on display and selected four. She was wearing shorts and a shirt belonging to Namjoon - not ideal for going outside during the height of winter but that was the least of her worries.
She placed two of the knives in one pocket, they were both blue and smaller than a butter knife yet sharp. The other two were red and shaped more like a dagger, she slipped these ones into the waistband of the shorts and left the room. Clary did not bother to lock it because if they discovered her missing they'd most likely discover the weapons missing too hence there was no point in even attempting to find the correct key to lock it.
She exited the gym and headed to the ground floor where she seen a figure. She paused ever so slightly and tried to identify whether it was a male or female figure but it was far too dark to see. "Clary?" Katie whispered. Oh thank god.
She continued down the last three steps to where Katie stood and grabbed onto her wrist. "We are escaping right now I have a plan." She whispered. She knew Katie would be shocked and fully expecting them to have met up in order to pre-plan an escape. Katie had never thought for one moment that they would be escaping on that very night. Clary held Namjoon's keys up to Katie's face and jingled them.
"Clary you do realise that the door requires keys and a thumb to be scanned Taehyung told me earlier! If you put the key in and don't have a thumb it sets off an alarm!" Katie frantically shook Clary's arm, worry plastered all over her face.
