After ensuring her wound was properly cleaned Jin had told Clary that there was a surprise waiting for her downstairs. She wasn't sure if that information made her feel excited or nervous. Either way she walked downstairs behind Namjoon in anticipation of what awaited her.
Upon entering the living room what she did not expect was a smirking Taehyung, a smiling Jungkook, a worried Katie and a nervous Hoseok. The entire living room sofa was covered in too many shopping bags to count. "Clary Edward's I know it in no way makes up for the damage I caused you but I am so sorry. Please accept these gifts." Hoseok bowed at a ninety degree angle.
Clary stood flabbergasted at his gesture. "I don't know what to say," she stuttered.
Hoseok - appearing less nervous now - smiled, "Katie helped a lot." He admitted shyly.
Katie's lips tugged into a soft grin, "All designer brands for me and my girlie of course." She gestured to the brand names on the bags such as Dior, Gucci, Versace and so on.
Clary chuckled at her friend, "Good one, I hope he treated you too as part of his apology."
Katie nodded in response. "It's a nice gesture but what he did was still fucked up."
"Yah!" Jin yelled at her. "Was there any need for that language?" He gestured his hands in the air to show frustration. Katie mumbled a quiet apology and hung her head slightly low.
Clary was still shocked, she wondered how these boys could be so ruthless and evil, yet caring and thoughtful. She was naïvely unaware of the fact that this caring side was out of attachment issues that they had developed for her and her friend.
"You still aren't allowed to talk to Katie because of your escape attempt." Jin crossed his arms over his broad chest.
Clary rolled her eyes. She felt like any fight that was left inside of her had been broken down because of her injury. "Fine." She knew that he had been expecting her to reply in defiance. Jin opened his mouth as if to say something and then closed it again.
Clary noticed how Namjoon stood particularly close to her until the point she could feel his elbow against her side. She glanced at him and smiled. "When can my training commence?" She licked her bottom lip.
Namjoon turned to look at Jin who became irritated at her question.
"Not for at least a full week, don't be silly." He said, shooting them both a warning glance.
Clary shot Namjoon a smirk yet said nothing. She hoped that none of them would catch on to her new obsession with being trained. An opportunity to become BTS' ultimate weapon, of course she was eager to take it.
"What am I supposed to do for seven days? I'm bored already." She huffed.
"I mean you should just be grateful you are alive and not locked in our basement." Taehyung said and Katie elbowed him.
"Hey you weren't actually going to do that were you?" Katie asked, completely oblivious to the series of uncertain looks that preceded her question.
Clary shook her head and smiled at her friend. "Of course not. I'd never let that happen to either of us." She spoke slowly, as if to pose some sort of threat to the group around them.
Katie relaxed a little at the reassurance and began speaking to Taehyung about something she had watched on Netflix. Clary wondered how her friend was actually feeling about everything that was going on.
*****
Katie had spent the remainder of the evening playing Call of Duty with Taehyung and Jimin. She wasn't too horrible at the game however, she had to bite down her competitiveness as Taehyung scolded her whenever she swore. It reminded her of Jin and she felt bad each time. She wasn't sure why she felt bad.
