Y'all are so incredibly spoiled this week.... <3 Artie

Mirjana was able to rest during the short flight. Bucky stayed alert, rubbing her back and running his hands through her hair to ensure she stayed asleep. T'challa watched his every move with curious eyes. The way he was so gentle with his pregnant woman made the king second guess what Bucky had been accused of. The former Winter Soldier clearly had too much to lose.

"Jana, wake up, miere. We're landing," Bucky spoke softly. She shifted in his arms, tilting her head for a kiss.

"G'morning, baby," she smiled. The plane jolted and Mirjana's eyes flew open. She looked around, her heart dropping in her chest. "I thought it was a nightmare! But we're really here. They found us."

Bucky cupped her chin. "No, sugar. Steve found us. It's not Hydra."

"How can you be sure?" Her eyes welled with tears.

"He-hem. If I may?" They turned to the King still seated across from them. "I am not Hydra. I cannot speak for every other individual, but I know it was the UN, collectively, who put the warrant out for Barnes' arrest."

"No offense, your highness, but why should I trust your word? Hydra wouldn't exactly go around announcing themselves to the world," Mirjana deadpanned.

T'challa chuckled. "I would question you if you did."

The plane stopped moving and everyone stood, prepared to disembark. The policemen pointed their guns at Bucky, but he ignored them, lifting Mirjana in his arms. She would normally object, but she knew he needed to hold her close to prevent himself from freaking out. Plus, she wasn't about to turn down an opportunity to be in his arms, pressed against his chest. One arm wrapped around his neck, the other rested on his pecs, to feel his heartbeat.

"Steady, soldier," she whispered in his ear. His heart was beating rapidly, a sign he was freaking out.

Or turned on.

The last time she felt it beating this fast was when they were nearly caught by a rogue group of Hydra agents in Serbia. That was over a year ago, now. The group was herded inside the building they landed on, into the elevators that went straight to the basement levels. Mirjana's stomach rumbled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten in a while.

And then she had to squeeze her legs together tightly. She met Bucky's eyes.

"You okay?" he asked.

"I need to use the restroom again," she admitted softly. Bucky nodded, stopping in the middle of the hallway to search for signs of a restroom.

"What are you doing? Keep walking!" someone ordered.

"She needs to use the restroom," Bucky growled.

"Calm down boys. I'll take her." A gorgeous redhead appeared in front of them. Mischief flashed in her green eyes. Jana tapped Bucky's arm to let her down. The redhead nodded her head in the direction of a side hall.

"I'll be back, love," Jana promised. She followed the voluptuous woman down the hall, away from the others. There was something familiar about the mystery woman.

"Go ahead. I can wait out here to give you more privacy," she spoke, having stopped in front of an open door.

Jana shook her head. "If you would, please come in with. I might need some help getting back up."

She probably wouldn't actually need the help, but she hoped to get this woman alone to ask a few questions. A few guards stood at the end of the hall, watching them closely. That sense of familiarity was nagging in the back of Jana's mind and she wanted to ask questions. The two entered the restroom, where Jana did her business. As she washed her hands, she met the green eyes of the mystery woman.
