Getting close to the Avengers Compound and baby Barnes!

Also, a heads up. I'll be traveling to see my sister during the week of Christmas (the 22nd-30th, to be exact). I'll do my best to get an extra chapter written before then so I can upload it that Sunday, but no promises. There's a chance y'all might have to wait two weeks for a chapter.

But I'll still get at least two more chapters in before then. <3 Artie

The next morning came fast. Shuri and Wanda burst into Jana and Bucky's room first thing, not allowing them time for their usual morning "exercise." Bucky grumbled the entire way to breakfast.

"Did you two even go to bed?" Mirjana asked.

Wanda reached across the table for a slice of bacon. "Nope."

"You are only here for a few more hours. We wanted to spend as much time together as possible," Shuri shrugged.

"How did you bypass my timer?" T'challa asked with a frown.

Ororo chuckled as she rocked Azuri in her arms. "Simple, husband. They went to her room."

Ramonda let out a heavy sigh. "Shuri..."

Ramonda pursed her lips. "You are not in America and you are not a regular teenager. You are of royal blood."

Shuri rolled her eyes. "Do not be so dramatic."

"Are you not tired?" Mirjana interrupted. She had a cramp and gripped Bucky's knee. He eyed her, but she kept her gaze focused on Shuri.

"No, I do not like to sleep my day away. There are better things I can do," she answered.

"Who says they're sleeping?" Ororo grumbled teasingly. She winked at Mirjana, whose pain had passed and was able to smile back.

"Most of the time we are resting," Bucky admitted. He placed his metal hand over Jana's and rubbed the back of it with his thumb. She refused to meet his eyes, knowing how worried he would be if he read her expression.

"Speaking of resting and being tired, has anyone seen W'Kabi and Sam?" T'challa chimed in. He reached for his son so Ororo could finish her breakfast.

"I found them on my way back to my room last night," Ayo smirked. She sat with Aneka at the table, not having anything to do this morning for the Dora Milaje.

Nareema and Okoye snorted from across the table. "That explains why he did not make it to our room last night," Okoye joked.

"I did not realize that you and W'Kabi were together!" Mirjana said in shock.

Okoye nodded her head. "Yes, we have been married for a few years. We are both dedicated to our jobs

T'challa raised a brow, his attention back on Ayo. "And?"

"They were asleep. In the hallway. I covered them with a blanket and went to bed," she shrugged.

"She took some photos, too!" Nareema laughed. She proudly pulled out her phone for everyone to pass around. Her joy of seeing the men in the ridiculous position was contagious.

"I'm not surprised, with how much they drank last night," Bucky said, staring at the photo of the two men completely passed out. Sam's head rested on W'Kabi's chest, their legs tangled together as they snored.

"Where are Steve and Nat? They were sober," Mirjana asked. She chewed on a piece of toast in the hopes it would soothe her stomach. Her instincts told her she wasn't in labor quite yet, but her stomach did feel off. It could be the mix of snacks she ate last night. Or the nerves of having to fly back to the states later that day and face the U.S. government.
