~Adam's pov~
I was being poked. It was 8am I was lying on the couch backstage of the Voice and I was being poked. "What the hell!" I yelled. I opened my eyes and stared at Blake, Christina and Ceelo. "Blake I swear if you poke me again you'll regret it." He laughed. "Listen little-" I glared at him and he stopped, "Adam listen this is crazy, you have to focus, you have to teach your team!" Christina insisted. I closed my eyes and felt a hand crash with the back of my head, "alright! I'm up!" I said sitting up. Christina shooed Blake and Ceelo away and sat next to me. "You must really love her if you aren't gonna take a swing back" she grinned her tone playful. "God is it that obvious" I groaned and criss-crossed my legs, "listen I'm completely in love with her. The guys are practically calling her Jane 2.0." I said, "which is really creepy but honestly I haven't felt like this since Jane. I just saw her yesterday and I am already going crazy cause I need to see her."
Christina looked at me like I was crazy, "well did you tell her?" She asked. "Yes and then she told me to go" I looked down and put my head my hands. "Why?" Christina asked, her hand on my back. "She said she had to sort something out."
I sighed as I made my way to the set to hear which team was starting the battle rounds.
~Analise's pov~
"So that's it? One signs and I sign?" I asked nervously. "Yes you are already 19 to completely be in charge of you, you only need one parents permission. Sign it and then you can move on" Lisa said.
Lisa is my attorney. She is giving me the chance to start over and move on completely. I shook her hand and thanked her.
I ran home and started packing everything in my room. I took everything I needed, everything that meant a lot, everything I felt I needed to have with me. I called a moving service and they picked up everything for me. My books my possessions everything except my clothes. When asked where to go I stopped. I didn't have a place. I thought about it and made a call. "Are you sure? It'll just be for a few days, while I get figure out what to do next." I smiled and wrote down the address. "Thank you! Thank you so much!" I hung up and handed the driver the address. She gave me a look and quickly added, "I will tip very generously when you get there." I had all the money from my savings and my checking and I was ready to move on. She shrugged and took the address and left. An hour later my mom walked in and saw the papers. We talked and yelled and cried and she finally agreed. It was for the best no matter how much it hurt her. She signed the papers with me and kissed me goodbye. She promised to pay to send my car and she paid for my ticket and sent me on my way. I dropped off the paper and left my new address.
As I stepped onto the plane that afternoon I knew I was going to be okay.
~Adam's pov~
It was 6:00 when I finally was able to to sit down and have a drink. I slipped into my pjs and relaxed with Frankie on the couch. I thought about Analise and my heart broke. It was only Monday and I knew it would be a long night.
I fell asleep watching a movie and woke up to Frankie barking and running around. "Frankie, what the hell?" I got up and followed her. She stop by the front door and barked frantically. "No one is there Frankie go to sleep." I turned to go when headlights swept across the driveway. I looked out and turned on the lights and noticed Jesse's car. I opened the door and looked out. Jesse got out and opened the passenger side door before grabbing bags in the back seat. I strained to see who it was but I couldn't. Jesse hugged the person and waved as he noticed me. The other person turned and smiled. The light caught their face and I sprinted down the steps.
~Analise's pov~
I thanked Jesse and hugged him. "Are you sure he won't be mad? I mean I'm just showing up" I started to get nervous but Jesse assured me it was fine. My belongings would arrive by Friday hopefully and then I could let them know my final destination. I turned as Jesse waved and saw him. I bit my lip and smiled. He ran down the steps. Frankie was barking at us but stayed in the house. She was well trained I noticed. I ran to him as he reach a flat surface and kissed him. "What are you...? I mean why are you...? Why didn't you tell me?" He asked quickly. I ignored him and pressed my lips to his happily. "Surprise" I whispered.
He helped me with my bags and thanked Jesse, I thanked Jesse again kissing his cheek and we went inside.
Adam dropped my bags by the door and as kicked it shut behind us. He pulled me close again. Frankie started barking causing him to turn around and give her attention. "Oh sorry Ana, this is my baby." He looked at her and scratched behind her ears, "yes you are huh baby girl" he said in a gushy voice before standing back up. I laughed, "hi Frankie." I said kneeling to pet her. She jumped excitedly licking my face. After some time I stood back up and looked at Adam who was staring. "I never.." He started and stopped, "right you're a fan, I forgot." He said
He led me to the couch, "now explain missy, you told me in a teary scene that you had to sort things out and you'd be here Friday. And according to Blake early this morning it was and still is Monday." I giggled. "Well when I couldn't sleep Saturday night, and well when I was running to your hotel I got to thinking. I've been running away for so long why not leave and start over. So after I left you Sunday morning I went home and showered and went to talk to an attorney. She told me that I could become emancipated. She explained it all and said that because I am not a minor I only needed one parents signature and mine to be upheld in court. So Early this morning I got the papers and packed up everything and waited for my mom. When she got home we talked and she signed the papers and drove me to drop them off and then bought my plane ticket and is even paying to have my car sent here." I said looking at him nervously.
"Where are you going to live?" He asked putting his arm around me. "Well that is what I need to figure out". I looked at him, "but I'll start looking in the morning. I hope you don't mind. I called Jesse in a panic this morning and he said to come here." Adam placed his hands on my cheeks and kissed me softly. I hesitated then gave in, as scared as I was I knew I would get through this if Adam helped me.
~Adam's pov~
I was excited to have her here. I couldn't believe she just up and left the only home she's ever known and came here, completely across the country. I smiled at her and promised I would be there for her for as long as she would have me. "Do you want something to eat?" I asked. "Please I'm starved." I took her hand and led her to the kitchen, "now it's my time to cook for you". I grinned and made her sit. "Your place is amazing. When Jesse pulled up I was shocked, it's huge, especially for just one person." Frankie barked announcing her presence, "and one very beautiful dog" she altered. "Yea but ya know when you have parties you need the space, and then if the guys crash it could be crazy in a small house." I smiled and watched as she got up looking around. I started to prepare dinner. I pulled out chicken and peppers and rice. "Hmm" I thought "well I guess this will work" I said as I pulled out a couple pans. Suddenly my voice filled the house. "I see you found my stereo" I laughed. "Yep and my iPod hooked up nicely." She added as She Will Be Loved played through. I smiled and turned as I heard her sing. It was soft and sweet and she was looking elsewhere. I turned away not wanting her to know I heard. The peppers and rice were almost done and the chicken was halfway there. As I finished turned to her and said, "so much for making my ears bleed." She laughed, "I had a feeling you would remember." I grinned and plated the food before sitting with her and completely feeling at ease.
