The roommates have become resentful of my sister and I. It could be because we keep them up, but who knows. But nevertheless they don't even know one of the guys that are making sure they get no sleep, is their attending, or so I thought. I awoke at 5:20, for no reason other than my sister's alarm clock, and the very cute police officer kissing my back.

"Good morning, darling." A husky voice from the right side of my bed says to me.

"Good morning, Dyl." he gives a quick kiss to my forehead before he gets up to get dressed. I sit up in bed and, in a non stalkerish way, watch him from the bed.

"You know some people would find you staring at me while I get dressed as a little creepy."

"Well they could be right, but I just can't stop looking at you." He walks towards me and gives me a quick kiss on the lips. It just feels so natural this thing that is between us. It feels like love, but the type of love that could last forever. We've barely been dating for a month though so it's not like I would ever tell him that. Though if I did tell him that I would probably overthink every little thing he did after and then put into my mind that he hated me.

"You are such a unique woman Greta. I have to go and get ready for work, I will talk to you later. Good luck in your meeting today"

"Thank you my dear, I will talk to you later, have a good day at work." I forgot about my meeting, holy shit. This is the meeting. It's with Richard, it's only been a year and a half since the incident. A year and a half since I lost Ophelia, a year and a half since I killed her.

I walk out into the hallway at the same time as Derek.

"You need to be more careful. I could have been one of the roommates."

He sighs and says, "I know I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"Hurry down the stairs quietly so they don't notice you."

"Ok, Ok, I'm going."

It didn't work. I thought it had until I got into the kitchen and the two ducklings seemed angry and shocked. I took a calculated guess on what they were angry about.

"Is the coffee ready?" I chose not to acknowledge the elephant in the room.

"Yes, are you coming in with us today?" Izzie replied in a rather short tone.

"Yes, but I'm taking my own car so I'll drive Midy."

"Wonderful."

"Midy," I yell from the kitchen, "Let's go, I can't be late for this."

"I'm here, let's go."

The drive to the hospital didn't take long. It was mostly quiet, with some affirming comments on my sister's part, which received glares after the third one. When we arrived we could see Cristina's bike propped up in the spot next to ours.

"You look like hell."

"Right back at you, Greta."

"You run?!" Izzie almost screams at Alex who was running up to us.

"Everyday babe, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." he replies to the blonde.

As the conversation started to bore me, I realized that it was almost time for my meeting with Richard. "Alright kiddos, have fun playing doctor for the day, I will see you all later." With that, I walk away making sure that I have all my belongings that I would need, and mentally preparing myself.

It didn't take long to get to Richard's office. It felt like muscle memory from residency and as a child. I was a little early, which is not uncommon after the incident. I knock and hear a quick reply from the chief. As I open the door I hesitate for a second. Thinking to myself: 'is this a good idea,' 'I'm too out of practice, he will never let me back,' 'I'll just hurt more people." my thoughts stop as Richard notices my hesitation and greets me to get me out of my head. He always knew when I started overthinking things, even when I was a child.
