Cw: this chapter has a scary monster pic in it. And if you have that phobia of deep water or like the ocean, be warned. Just skip the pic.

I'm having a great day at work today! Celest is here today and she didn't call me fatty this morning! So that must mean not eating is working! Momma was right. I mean, of course, she was right. She's always right hehe.

Maybe Celest will wanna be my friend. I wanna talk to her but I know I'll just make it worst with my voice, so I'll have to wait till she talks to me. Or maybe we can try to have an eye conversation! Hehe, maybe she has that power I learned in school when people can talk to you in your mind or something! That would be so cool.

I tried to catch her eye when she was at the register thinking her powers might work better if we make eye contact.

Our eyes meet a few times but she always looks away too fast. Urg! Maybe, she just doesn't want to look at me. I'm pretty horrid to look at. I wish I had the power to shape-shift like some people!

My shift drags on as I continue to knead dough and bake treats. To my surprise, Celest walked into the back room with me. I bounced in excitement. Maybe she wants to talk! Or hangout! Is this hanging out? Am I hanging out with a friend right now?!

"Ey, loser! I'm talking to you. Hello? Anyone in that dumb little head of yours?" she says waving her hand in my face.

Oh no. Stupid Gianna. I ignored her! I'm so mean. Momma said I'm really mean sometimes. I gotta work on that.

I smiled and nodded at her, hoping she'd get that I was listening.

"We are out of receipt paper at the register! Go grab some. They are on the top shelf over there." she points behind me.

I'm not sure why she asks me because she's taller. But maybe if I do this, it'll make up for my stupidity earlier and she'll be my friend. I looked back at her and nodded.

I swiftly left my post and stood in front of the shelves looking up to the top one. Oh boy. It's easily twice my height to get there.

I can go this. I'm a big girl. And I'm getting street smarter.

I began climbing the shelf to reach the paper. I smiled triumphantly when I reached the top shelf.
I skillfully stuck my hand in the box while balancing on the shelves to get the paper.

As I was rummaging around I felt the shelves start to tip. Oh no! My fat butt is going to tip them all over! I need help! I gotta talk.

"Celest! It's going to tip over. H-help me please!" I yelled. I look over and see her near the register flirting with a vampire. I don't have time to shout again.

I feel weightless as I begin to fall backward with the shelves on top of me.

I hit the ground hard. So hard I barely feel the shelves hitting my ribs and the little cracks that follow. I can't even scream if hurt so bad. I'm panting.
