Okay before you say anything- I know. I'm sorry it took so long. Tbh this chapter was really hard to write. Trying to write creatively and beautifully while trying to get across the info I wanted y'all to have proved to be too much. So this is like a much ROUGH draft. I'm just posting it so I can continue with the story but I hope at some point to edit this chapter and make it what I wanted it to be. Also I know it's short but again- I know. Thank you all for waiting and reading to this point🤍 the next chapter isn't far behind (it's mostly written).

Third POV:

Chaos

was all that existed. No one has the answer as to how it became. Not the primordial gods, not the faiths, nor death, or anyone who can glimpse into the past.

Chaos, once described as a confused mass, was everything but nothing at all, confusion, and disorder were all that Chaos reaped.

Then came Erebus, the embodiment of darkness, something that was spit out of Chaos. Some say the primordial gods all came into existence close in time. However, Erebus was the first from Chaos, only he knows how long he sat in his existence.

How mad Erebus must have gone, sickly in his head for how long? It was only him, nothing more.

That is until Gaia was born. Out of chaos she also came, Mother of Life. Some call her Mother Nature, or Mother Earth. But only Erebus and Gaia truly know of her creation to all.

Soon Tarturas came. Known as a god and as a place Tarturas was ruthless, those who saw him would note his murky aura.

No one knows for sure where Tarturas is, it's said he lies in the deepest parts of the earth, below hell. A true sunken place for the worst dead. Many gods and mortals would soon be tormented in the dark dreadful place. Homer would later philosophies that Tarturas is as far away from the underworld, as the earth is to the heavens.

There Tarturas stayed, behind his bronze gates, to divulge the sickly grim punishments of the worst.

Nyx was created by Chaos, although many aren't sure in which order she came. Erebus was quick to court the goddess of night. It's said they danced across the skies bringing the end of day.
Erebus and Nyx made many creations together. Erebus wasn't alone.

The last of the primordial deities is Eros, the god of fertility, love, and sex. Many claim Eros to be the first to exist, his strength which would come to take Zeus down, was unrivaled, their argument fair, but wrong in the end.

Similar to the others, Eros created deities and desires, but mostly he was mischievous. He played a major role in the creation and downfalls of the world.

The five primorials, the creation of all who existed didn't cross paths often, however holding such power, only rivaled by the others was bound to cause a mishap. None of them were fond of the others.

Erebus and Gaia from the dawn of all, never got along. Gaia's creations brought life to the dark, and Erebus was relieved at first. Happy he wasn't alone with nothing but his darkness. However, as time prolonged, Gaia got on Erebus's nerves. Her light and creations pushed Erebus away, further isolating him.

In a fit of retribution, Erebus created creatures of the night, those who delivered Gaia's deities to Hades. Bringers of the end. Nyx and Erebus's creations were abstract, small personified creatures of nature.

Out of love for Erebus, Nyx created death, sleep, fates, and retribution. These entities took a toll on the living. Rivaling Gaia's powers to create and withstain.

Gaia wasn't fond of Erebus and Nyx's play. Nevertheless, Gaia learned the meaning of balance. Lonely as well, Gaia fell in love with her creation Uranus. Together they fabricated the giants, one of whom was Cronos, who would soon meet his fate at the depths of Tarturas.

As time went on more petty fights broke out between all the gods. The heavenly world was beside itself. Gods were cheating on others, some scheming for another's death.

Only to behold that gods reincarnated. An endless cycle of revenge and plotting. The primordials soon found no interest in the revolving fights. Decades, Centuries, throughout these times the gods went on with their work, Nyx and Erebus split after millennia. This news took all by surprise, they had been together from the beginning.

Gods died and were reborn. Connections loosened until they hardly heard from one another. The primordials would meet now and again as one of them would reincarnate, the others wanting to get familiar with their new selves. Although primordials were immortal their human bodies were not despite the gods being able to prolong the bodies' lifetime to thousands of years, they would still need a new body eventually.

In the not-so-far past, they deemed it immoral just to inhabit another's body on a whim. That left them having to be reborn and awake over and over. This was a tiring process one which the primordials dreaded. But after so long of playing games with life and death, they no longer wished to partake in the childish games.

So, they reincarnated. The primordial power took its toll on the fabricated host's body. Being constrained for so long deteriorated its host.

This was how it had been. Their beings are now wiser than all, still flawed, but wiser. Life had its process, that is until now.

Life had its process, that is until now
