I've searched two floors now and the cafeteria but haven't been able to find anything laying around.

Walking down an empty hallway I overheard loud laughing coming from a room. Curious, I tip-toed over and pressed my ear to the door. Super hearing would be so cool.

I could hear girls talking to each other. When I listened closer, I could tell they were talking about the student's in their class, they were 'gossiping', that's what friends do.

I couldn't help but continue to listen. I never heard gossip before. It seemed so fun and if I closed my eyes I could pretend I was in there with them.

After some time I realized I had moved to sit on the floor, finding myself giggling at their jokes about people I didn't even know. Sometimes they said phrases I didn't understand but it didn't matter it was fun.

I think I laughed too loud because next, I heard.

"Did you hear that? I think someone is outside the door."

And before I could get up the door swung open revealing four, really pretty girls around my age. One of them was Serena who was looking down at me with a scowl. I tried scooting back away from them.

"What are you doing?! Are you listening in on us?" one girl yelled.

"Are you spying?" another question.

"I bet she's just into girls and thought she could catch something, isn't that right? Pervert" I shook my head vigorously. I wasn't doing any of those things.

"You freak! We'll teach you what happens to weirdos at this school. You shouldn't cross us" Serena yelled while grabbing my hair and dragging me into the room. It was just like when momma did it.

She pulled me into a smaller room, maybe a closet because it had all her clothes. But before I could examine further, I was thrown into something that surrounded me. Frantically looking around I found that it was a chest. Oh no no no.
