Gianna's POV:
"You must harness this power, Gianna."
What? I can't feel my body. I can't seem to move. All I see is blackness.
Am I dead? Is this death? An eternity of nothingness? Maybe it's Erebus. The god. Maybe I'm in his realm.
I know he doesn't like me but maybe
"Erebus..?" I called out. "A-are you there?"
"Gianna. You need to remember!"
I mentally spin around. Trying to find who's talking. But no one is there. Is it a ghost?
"Gianna!"
The voice was louder now and I know I'm getting anxious. Who's in the dark with me?
"Gianna-" I turn and see a white figure.
"You need to use your gift, Gianna."
"What gift? Who are you?!"
She just smiled at me. She gave me a knowing look before her light grew. Blinding me -
I tried blinking the brightness away but it didn't work. After many tries my eyes finally started adjusting, bringing in hazy images, but I couldn't make anything out.
After a few more tries I get my eyes to focus on the tall ceiling above me. What is going on?
Wasn't I just in hell?
BANG
"Shhhh-shit!" A familiar voice whispered. I heard heavy feet stomping their way toward me. My body was stiff and achy. Trying to turn my head proved to be a chore.
My head turned just in time to see a disheveled Abyss pull back my curtain and look at me.
We stared at each other for a while. He was looking at me in shock. Like he couldn't believe his eyes. I stared back in confusion. Why is he looking at me like that?
I tried sinking further into the bed hoping the sheets would swallow me whole.
Then I forgot to breathe. Abyss's face split into a toothy smile. One I haven't seen him sport before. And he was still staring at me.
