~~~~~Y/N~~~~~
I spin in the mirror, totally captivated how I look.
"I'm certain you're a witch, Josie. Makeup doesn't make that much of a difference, does it?" I look at myself up close. The natural makeup brings out an ethereal look, then my eyes flicker down to the dress she picked out. it was a soft rose color, with a belt at the waist to accentuate it, which was paired well with  the simple jewelry. My long, curly hair flows behind me, with little golden pins adorning my temples.
"You are blind dear sister. I just used it to accentuate what you already have: natural beauty." I gush at her before hugging her tightly, the black heels tapping lightly as I do so.
"Thank you so much! I love you, and I will give you
all the details when I return! I'm not sure how long I'll be out, but you best be ready Josie Anne!" I laughed at the last part before picking up a small white purse, giving a last wave to my sister before walking out the door.
~~~~~Alastor~~~~~
I checked my watch for the umpteenth time.
Should be any second.
The whole office seems to notice my anxiety, to my dismay. I stayed close to the door, ready to open it at the slightest knocks. I hear snickers from behind me, and I turn to see non other than my childhood friend, Rosie.
"Something funny dear?" I seethe at her tall figure. She flips a strawberry blonde strand out of her eye and chuckles at me again.
"Oh, nothing my dear friend! I just like to see you squirm a little bit." I clench my jaw and my eye twitches, making her laugh again.
"We'll see if you find it funny after I rip your-" I'm cut off by knocking on the door and I go to immediately open it with a hopeful look, making Rosie double over in laughter. I open the door, and a beautiful (e/c) gaze meets my own. Her cheeks are lightly dusted in blush, making her natural blush more prominent, and her long beautiful (h/c) hair flows in the wind, giving off a scent I could only describe as perfect. Golden flecks shine at me as she bats her long eyelashes, and I can't help the heat creeping onto my cheeks. I hear Rosie cough behind me (like *cough cough* if you wanted to know) and I immediately snap out of my trance.
"Why, hello, my dear Y/N! Looking as beautiful as ever! Please do come in! I have to finish a couple things before we head out, so make yourself right at home!" I usher her in, never taking my eyes off of her. She looks nervous, but smiles at me with the most beautiful smile I had ever seen.
Breathtaking.
"Why, thank you Alastor! My sister helped me put this together." She does a little twirl, making my cold, dead heart beat a little faster. "What have you got planned for us?" Her eyes tell a story of stars and light. The orbs stare into my soul, and I just have to wonder if she can read me like a book.
"Well, my little doe~ Actually I was wondering if you wanted to take a stroll with me in the streets then have dinner with me!" I do a little bow, placing my hand out for her to take, and she does. A shock is sent up my spine, making me shiver.
Her hands are much softer than I would've guessed.
I place a light kiss on her (s/c) knuckles while looking her dead in the eyes. The blush grows, making my blush more prominent.
"I would love to, Alastor." She reply's with a flirty tone.
"God, you two need to get a room already." Rosie's voice calls out and I hear my dear, sweet, Y/N squeak. My head turns almost neck-breakingy fast as I manically glare at my friend.
How adorable, but not the time, Rosie.
"Pardon me, Rosie? I don't think I quite caught that." My tone darkens, and everyone in the office physically stiffens, except Rosie, of course. She smirks a knowing one, before shrugging.
"Oh come on boss, lighten up, you know it was just a joke." She snorts and I look back at Y/N, she seems to be holding in a laugh at the sight of us. It makes my expression soften.
"And I thought jokes were meant to be funny! Hahaha! Fine, Rosie, I'll let you off the hook this time, my dear." She smirks, knowing I wouldn't dare let my little doe see that side of me.
Blast you, Rosie. I will get you back for this.
I turn back to Y/N, still trying to hold in her laughter. The sight makes me chuckle. Snaking an arm around her waist, the ruffles of the dress swish with me, making her let out a little "eep".
That's better, my dear.
We walk silently to my office, past Rosie, where Y/N says her polite 'hellos' and 'it's nice to meet yous' to everyone she sees, making my heart warm even more.
So polite! I just want to keep you to myself!
As I open the door for her, she says 'thank you' so quietly I almost didn't catch it. Ushering her to one of the red leather chairs, she sits, making the dress fluff up at the ends, but she smooths it out almost immediately.
"This won't take long, my dear, I just need to put up some of these papers and file them. I would've done that before you got here, but I don't trust Rosie with you alone... She can be quite... what's the word I'm looking for...?" My words die in my mouth. Something like that should be so simple, Alastor!
"Overwhelming?" My eyes shoot up to meet hers, before a wide smile blossoms over my face.
"Pretty and smart, my little doe!" I thought, smiling at her and nodding.
"You think I'm pretty?" Her blush comes back full force, and my words dry up in my mouth. My eyes widen and I feel my smile strain.
"I didn't say that out loud, did I?"
She giggles at me, reaching across the desk to take my hand, and in the best Alastor impression she could muster, she exclaims.
"Why, yes indeedy, my dear, who's the shy little doe now?~" Her eyes darken and I'm sure I fell in love right then and there.
