"Here are your grilled cheese sandwich's!" The waitress said.

"Thanks!" Mike exclaimed.

Mike lifted the sandwich of the table and took a great savouring bite out of it.

"Woah! This is a big one, its gonna need at least 87 bites," Mike exclaimed.

"Uh... So you know the Prom, your not going, right?" Jeremy asked.

"yeah...well here's the thing I was .... Yeah ... no I'm not going."

"I was wondering because it would be quite boring sitting in the dorms doing nothing all night. The bottom line is should we go together for a laugh." Jeremy stated.

"...but just as friends," They chorused.

"Yeah, just as friends," Jeremy chuckled.

Jeremy sat, stuffed, with half of his sandwich abandoned on his plate. He was daydreaming whilst waiting for Mike to power through his.

"Finally finished, that was bloody beautiful!" Mike shouted.

'Beautiful... what!? Was he talking to me! Oh God!!' Jeremy thought as he began to sweat, he slowly turned to look at Mike and saw the eaten sandwich.

'oh... he was talking about the sandwich...he was talking about the sandwich!'

"So, Jere what do we do now?"

That was a very good question, what do they do now? Jeremy's mum was away so there was know point in being round there and ...well there is know way they are going to Mike's with all the awkwardness now. So the only option was school but there would be no one there. They had to find something to do for the next few weeks.

"um...Well maybe we should go swimming, you know, all the younger kids will still be at school for the moment and it will pretty much be deserted there." Jeremy pointed out.

"Yeah sounds good, I will meet you there on Tuesday because I kind promised my mum I would play tennis with her because well she already booked a court for Monday," Mike said embarrassed.

"Okay! See you there!" Jeremy snorted.
