Applauding surrounded them. Jeremy came back into consciousness a bit dazed and confused. 

"Jeremy, Jeremy are you there? HELLO!" Mike shouted over the clapping. 

"MIKE! YOUR MEANT TO BE DEAD I SAW YOU GET SHOT!" Jeremy squealed. 

"Okay, you need to lay of the alcohol buddy!" Mike said sarcastically. 

"No, No I'm not joking I mean it I saw you get shot! You're prom king with Natalie and then her phsyco boyfriend shot you!" Jeremy panicked.

". . . Dude, are you feeling okay? You just fell to the floor a few seconds ago after Natalie and her stupid jock boyfriend got prom king and queen."

"Mike, he has a gun! You have to believe me! He shot you I saw it!" Jeremy wailed.

"Okay Jeremy I am not being funny but I am taking you to a hospital to get you checked out, come on stand up," Mike helped Jeremy stand up and he walked him out of the hall. Jeremy crying on Mike's shoulder.

"Aww look the cute blushy dweeb is crying!" Some girl said as they walked out.

"Still think you gunna pull tonight," Mike whispered sarcastically as he couldn't resist.

Jeremy sobbed even harder.

When they got to the hospital Jeremy sat in the waiting room whilst Mike was talking to the receptionist about an emergency appointment. Later on at about 12 am they finally got to see the doctor. Mike waited in the waiting room for most of it and then when Jeremy's case had finally been diagnosed Mike was allowed in to see him.

When Mike walked in he saw Jeremy in a hospital gown laying in the bed with a clip on his finger. Jeremy looked quite saddened as the doctors had done a full body examination on him and it was very late at night.

"Hey buddy, how are you doing?" Mike whispered, Jeremy looked at him with his big wide eyes and tears streamed down his face. 

"Mike I just wanna go home and see my mum," Jeremy wailed.

"Okay, I know you do it's just very difficult at the moment and I need to speak to the doctor to see whats going on."

At that moment the doctor poked his head through the door and motioned Mike out of the room for a chat.

"Hi, Mike," the doctor said.

"Hello,"

"The thing with Jeremy isn't as bad as maybe you thought it was in the moment,"

"Okay,"

"Well times are just so difficult for him especially with his mother dying a few weeks ago, "

" . . . What?! Jeremy's mother isn't dead he would have told me especially and he even said that she had moved in with his step-dad and she was going to come round on the weekend to collect the rest of her belongings!" 

"Well, I am very surprised that he hasn't told you! But I am sad to say that she is most definitely dead,"

"I'm just so shocked," Mike said with his mouth wide open.

"I am very sorry for the bad news but Jeremy is simply suffering from quite bad hallucinations." The doctor finished.

"Well, okay so is he being prescribed some medicine to make them stop?" 

"Yes, he will be given medicine to take home so he can recover but for the first two days he will he monitored in hospital, so you can stay for as long as you like and you will be given a bed to sleep in if you wish because well he sadly has no immediate family left now." The doctor then turned around to whatever he was doing.

"Thank you," Mike said.

"Your welcome."

Mike then proceeded to walk into the room.

"Please mum tell them that I am not crazy, tell them mum now!" Jeremy wailed.

"What! Jeremy NO who are you talking to?!" 

"Mum, Mike you can both persuade them can't you!? PLEASE!" 

"NO! JEREMY THERE IS NO MUM, YOUR MOTHER IS DEAD!" Mike ran out of the room and grabbed the doctor.

"I think Jeremy is hallucinating again please help!" 

The doctor ran into Jeremy's room, whipped out a needle and plunged into Jeremy's arm. Jeremy slowly fell asleep . . .
