Authors note: Hi guys, I am incredibly sorry that I haven't written a part in three weeks! I have been planning and planning this part so that I got it just right! I am actually quite scared to write this now because . . . aahhhhhhhhhh!
Jeremy sat at the kitchen table staring at his mug of coffee wondering why his mum and step-douche aren't here to support him through this tough period of time before his prom.
The door swung open and Mike swanned in, "Hi Jere, I just need to grab my wallet, I am going to get some chicken for the BBQ tonight! . . . oh crap I shouldn't have told you."
Jeremy just sat there and stared at his coffee more wondering why his life was in this mess in the first place. Mike walked over and sat down at the dining room table after he grabbed a mug of coffee.
"Dude, are you okay?" Mike asked.
Jeremy stared.
"I know you are probably shocked about the whole BBQ thing and all but . . . " Mike drowned on.
". . . Mike,"
"I mean my mum only wanted us to be happy and Jeremy to be honest I think that . . . she knows,"
". . . MIKE,"
"It's no biggy though because after today school is over and we don't want to get wrapped up in stupid little things, now we can start up own adult lives and . . . "
"I love you," Jeremy whispered.
" . . . Jeremy did you actually just say that?"
"Yes, and I know it sounds stupid but Mike I have always loved you and just this week made me fall in love with you even more!" Jeremy said staring deeply into Mike's quivering pale blue eyes, his tears dancing down his face as he realised that Mike and his dreamy gaze was about to fuck up his entire life In one tiny moment.
" I'm glad you said that because, I have felt the same way about you for longer than just a week, that would explain why I left my mums house to live with you and why I let you sleep in my bed and-"
"and why you kissed me all those times!" Jeremy perked up.
"What! Jeremy I have never kissed you!?"
"Yeah you did when I had my melt downs and panic attacks like when I fell on the floor in the park and you kissed me to stop me crying!"
"No, you must of just imagined it to stop yourself from crying," Mike said not being alarmed by the fact his best friend had imagined him kissing him.
"Oh my god, have I really just been imagining myself kissing Mike just to stop myself from crying! That's insane! I'm insane!" Jeremy thought.
"But I can if you want me too," and just like that Mike closed his eyes and grabbed his friends chin pulling it towards his as he pressed his lips against his Jeremy's and ran his fingers through his silk like brown hair. Finally he pulled away from his friend, stared into his eyes and said these three cliché words, "I love you."
Jeremy looks up at the older male and smiled as he realised that he was looking at the guy who would make his life worth living.
Later that evening Jeremy and Mike prepared for the prom by getting dressed and sitting on their phones for two hours because they realised that they did not need three hours to get ready.
The time finally came that the carpool came to pick the two gentlemen up and drive them to the lounge and bar that their prom was being held at.
When they got out of the car Jeremy and Mike walked on the red carpet past the girls standing outside. They heard a few, " Oh the short one is cute," and, "look at his blushing face, so sweet!"
