More than friends ~ Jeremike

Moving on ~Last Chapter

After Jeremy left Mike felt so alone in Jeremy's house and being surrounded by Jeremy's things he couldn't stop thinking about him. Mike decided that in order to move on with his life and not depress himself any more he had to move back in with his mother so he gathered his things and left Jeremy's house to venture back home.

Mike's mum was very comforting when he returned and he felt much better being surrounded by his mum because he knew he was safe and he didn't have to take care of himself because his mother would do that for him in this hard time.

Thursday came and his mum reminded him that visiting time was today at one in the afternoon. Mike was glaring down at the letter the officer gave him. It had all of the details why Jeremy was being arrested and all of the visiting times and dates.

Mike had been staring down at this piece of paper for days now and he often had nightmares about seeing Jeremy in this prison. Mike knew that Jeremy wouldn't be able to cope with prison life and he dreaded going to see him.

One o'clock came and Jeremy was guided into the visiting room where he sat at his little table waiting for his visitor to arrive. He had a black eye and a bruised lip from where another guy had beaten him up calling him a gay boy. Jeremy hated the fact that Mike would see him like this but he couldn't wait to see some friendly faces. Of course his step-dad wasn't going to visit but he didn't need him.

Mike still sat at home staring at the letter inviting him to see Jeremy.

An hour had passed at the visiting station and every ones visitor's had been and gone . . . except for Jeremy's. Mike was always late but never this late. The officer told Jeremy that visiting time was over and Jeremy had to go back to his cell until he was called for dinner. 

Mike never came.

Mike was still at home staring at the letter.

He chose to move on.

Mike knew his life was only going to get worse if he stayed like this.

He kept the good memories . . .

and got rid of the bad ones . . . 

but he never came back to make new ones.
