Some pre words before we start, because some things in here might confuse you.
Since Ambush and Rush are practically heads, I can't really do much for them in descriptive-wise, so just bear with me when I describe them doing actions that might be hard to do for one with just a head. I imagine that they have invisible-like arms or short range telekinesis to be able to pick items up. (This applies to every PNG monster.)
Personally, I imagine the entities as their heads with bodies connecting to those heads. (Ambush having glitch-like green skin that is similar to how Jack's neck looks, etc.) So when reading this fanfic, you have the free liberty to imagine them as humanoids with their PNG heads, or just as their PNGs. That's all.
Also, as you can see from this picture, Jack is somewhat of a floating head.

I really should have pointed this out before, but I'd like to imagine that that's only a headshot of him, and he has a shadow-like body appearance. (That can occasionally stop being humanoid and just turn into a pile of shadow-like substance that he just walks around on.) This also relates to why Figure said Jack was so tall. Just to clarify some things, since it's a tad bit hard to describe anything with just heads.

Rush ran through the hallways with Ambush. The two zoomed room to room, laughing as their breath was lost to their speed. The lightbulbs cracked for every room they passed, shattering behind them. Ambush's green light illuminated the area as they both pushed past each other to get into the next room first.
"You can't catch up, green boy!" Rush shouted as he pushed past Ambush. The dark entity giggled as he entered the next room. Ambush only laughed harder, making his way past Rush with ease.
"It's nice to see you try, but you have a long way to go before you're ANYWHERE on par with me!" Ambush whipped past Rush into the next two rooms, green lights leaving with him and leaving Rush in the dust as he went. With Rush two rooms behind Ambush, he began to go faster, trying to go harder than he ever could.
"You haven't seen the best of me!" Rush shouted with a laugh at the end, hitching onto the inward corner of a wall and pushing off against it to get more speed. Entering the same room as Ambush, the two found themselves in a mini library. As both began speeding to look for the lever to get to the next room first, there was a slam at the entrance of the room. Instinctively, both entities turned to looked at what happened. The door had closed.
"Oh, well, that's weird. Pause-- pause, Rush." Ambush said, Rush stopping trying to sneakily find the lever while Ambush was distracted.
"What's up?" Rush came up behind Ambush to see what was going on. "The door closed, so what?" Rush scoffed and turned to go look for the lever.
