How lovely the smell of the food was. Neither of the two entities had visible noses, but then again, it wasn't their job to worry about it right now.
There was a long hallway that led to the cafeteria, similar to Seek's domain, but without the damage. As the two walked, their footsteps patted against the floor. Figure's walking was more long and drawn out and received louder sounds, however, the carpet muted them significantly.
Glancing out the window, Seek silently noted that it wasn't raining, which meant that no humans were currently in the hotel. He found himself often checking to see whether it was raining, even though it wasn't his job to find out whether any humans were in here or not.
At the end of the hallway was a rather large door. This door, like many other blocked off parts of the hotel, had previously been guarded by a metal gate. Now, it was a large wooden entrance with no metal in sight. When one looked closer, spirals of glowing white illustrations could be clearly seen on the door. This could be explained easily. Every entity knew this.
Whenever a new domain was unlocked, the place radiated a glow on the entrance. The same could be seen for every area. The white spirals went away after a few days, but when a new entity arrives, that's always the first place you look. When Figure appeared, there were white spirals on the library door signifying that it was now unlocked. Until that point, no one could go past door 49. When hide appeared, the closets unlocked and could be accessed, spirals appearing on wardrobes.
The same couldn't be said for everyone however. Some entities, like Rush and Ambush, didn't have a specific domain. That's why when they came in, they literally glowed, emitting spiral-like particles from their body. During those time periods, the new entities possessed the ability to rejuvenate significantly faster than ever, and had much more energy.
So what exactly did this mean?
Well, it meant that a new entity had appeared.
Behind the doors were a muffled chatter. Listening closely, Seek could hear that most if not all the entities were probably already in there. Had Figure really waited for him, even when he could've been in here, meeting whoever was new? That was surprisingly sweet of him, especially as someone who still needed to perform duties as head of entities.
Grabbing the handle of the giant door, Seek realized it was quite light despite its size. '..Huh.' He thought. Pushing the wooden door open for Figure, the chattering of the entities came to a pause as the two entered. From what Seek could see, not everyone was there, but enough to make a crowd.
Rush was the first to speak. "Seek! Glad you're okay!" The grey entity rose and made his way over to the goop entity. "We were actually just talking about you," he continued with a laugh, "You've got to come meet Jeff!"
"Jeff? What a lovely name." Figure chimed in, closing the door behind him and Seek. "Where can we find this lovely fellow?" The head of the entities' tone was light, but had underlying curiosity.
"Just over here." Rush replied. "Follow me." The entity began heading over to the kitchen, to which Seek acted accordingly by taking hold of Figure's hand and guiding him between the tables.
As the trio made their way over to a counter where the border between the cafeteria and the kitchen likely began, the busy chatter of the room began, the entities that were there making their greetings to them as they passed, to which Seek and Figure responded with 'hellos' and such.
The room that they were in matched the theme of the hotel quite nicely, with an arch-like ceiling supported by wood and tall windows displaying the void outside the hotel. Why, if it were to be described in just a bare-bones form, it would be a wider version of a hallway that had tables. That and the fact there was an unlit pitch-black kitchen connected to this room that had a counter.
