A girl with black hair walks into a new classroom on her first day of school.
"You must be Kyomi!" The teacher exclaims.
Kyomi nods.
"Well Kyomi, we have an open seat, right over there by the window. It's all yours!"
Kyomi goes to the seat where the teacher is pointing and sits.
The girl next to her turns and grins.
"I'm Yori," she leans over and whispers.
"Kyomi," she smiles back.
"I know," Yori says, "I also know we're going to be best friends."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
Kyomi has never had a best friend before. This changes everything.
