kyomi's pov
Kyomi lies out on the grass under a tree, Yori's head in her lap and hair in her hand.
"So when do you leave?"
The other girl sighs and looks up at Kyomi.
"In like four days. I don't know"
Kyomi pauses at this. She doesn't even have a week left with Yori. Sure, they'll still talk, and probably see each other, but they're both so busy that it won't be the same.
She has so much she wants to say. To beg Yori to stay, to beg Aizawa. To scream from the rooftops about how much she cannot lose this girl. Fuck, she might even start writing songs.
But instead all that comes out is "do you want me to help you pack?"
Yori nods, saying nothing. After a beat, she moves her arm up, so her hand is cupping Kyomi's face.
"I'm scared, Kyo," she whispers.
She looks defeated. This girl, who will take anything thrown at her, put up a fight until the end, and make it seem like nothing, looks like she has just given up.
Kyomi leans down and plants a kiss on Yori's forehead.
"It'll work out. Come on, let's start packing."
Before Kyomi fully pulls away, Yori puts her other hand on Kyomi's other cheek and leans up to kiss her on the lips.
"Okay. Let's go"
—————————
It's Yori's last day at UA. The two girls are laying in her bed, looking at the cleaned out room. Walls, which held years of memories, left blank. The desk, previously scattered with yori's books and material, held just a card from the rest of the class, wishing her well.
Classes for the week are over. Aizawa already spoke with Yori for quite a long time, and the whole class is doing a farewell dinner. So for now, it's just Yori and Kyomi.
The room is silent, the girls are still. Just taking in the last moments they have together like this.—————————
The next morning, Yori's parents are at the school, holding her bags. Other students have given hugs, cards, and other gifts or well wishes, but Kyomi stands slightly away from the family.
Yori turns to her, and just about melts into Kyomi's arms and buries her face into her neck. Kyomi rests her chin on her head.
"We'll still talk, right?"
"Yes, Yor. Everyday"
"I miss you already."
"I miss you too."
"I have to go."
"I know."
Neither of them broke the hug for awhile after that, the silence that's been with them for a few days enveloping them.
