"I GOT YOUR FAVORITE." The last thing Andrea was expecting to see at nearly noon was Seokjin standing at her doorstep with a tub of ice cream. That's what women like when they're sad, right? Ice cream to drown out their pain? Or was that for periods? Either way, he brought it now she has to eat it. 3 dollars out of his pocket just to make her feel better.

Andrea stared at him, wrapped up in the comforter she dragged from her bedroom with her into the living room. She chose to willfully ignore how she magically woke up tucked neatly into bed, how Jungkook's keys were gone and how one of the shirts she stole from him was gone as well. She'll gaslight herself into believing she did all of that on her own. Somehow, someway. Whatever will make her feel better knowing Jungkook had come back, even if it was just for the moment.

"What are you doing here?" Andrea took the tub of ice cream from him, ready to drown her pain in ice cream and tears, maybe even a little shit talk she doesn't mean in the slightest just because she can. She'll swear off men like she does all the time. Tell Jin to never let her fall for another man. And when she does, and he tries to remind her of the last time, Andrea will disregard it with the claim that "this one will be different".

If she weren't so obsessed with male validation, she'd be a gambling addict. "Just one more time. I feel it in my bones. I'm gonna hit big with this one." It fails every single time, and every loss makes her slightly poorer, slightly more broken than the last.

Well, Jungkook had been the last blow to her dignity as a woman. He had left her broke.

And though she swears off men once again, an unfaithful promise she knows she's never going to follow, Andrea still finds herself thinking of Jungkook. Because the comforter she had wrapped up to her nose smelled just like him. And the coffee she sipped this morning had a little honey. The shower still held Jungkook's handprints and his body wash that she intentionally used so that she smelled like him. She still thought of him when she touched herself and said his name when she came before the disgust came.

Because it's hard to fall out of love with someone in just a few hours. Andrea thought it would be years before she could ever truly say she was over him, even that much was giving herself too much credit.

Jin took the liberty to step inside her apartment and Andrea moved out of the way to welcome him. He's only been to her apartment a handful of times. As close of friends as they were, they weren't that close. If they were any more intimate of friends than they were now, they'd probably be married by now. He was everything she should want on paper. Sweet, respectful, understanding, undeniably handsome. Andrea never doubted that he had the purest intentions with everything he did. But that's only because she'd known him for years, trusts him.

Andrea told herself she wouldn't be that person. Hook up with someone who would be better for her to get over the last asshole she gave her heart to. But she can't say she hasn't done it before. Don't believe she will ever give the best option a chance because she just wanted the affection of men she knows won't love her. Jin's good to her. He's good for her. As shown by him showing up with her favorite flavor of ice cream.
