JUNGKOOK DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE EXPECTED Andrea's apartment to look like, but this was somehow spot on. Hit the head of the nail perfectly. It wasn't very big, but there was something cozy about the lack of abundant space, it was close, tight-packed, and intimate in a way. There was a rustic feel to it, old but in a stylish way. It was far better than his old apartment which was just trashy old.

The living room and kitchen were pretty much all one room with only a diner-like counter space separating them. Jungkook assumed one of the doors in the living room lead to her bedroom but that was beside the point. It was a nice space.

Andrea was relaxed here, she flops down on her couch with a beer in hand, and Jungkook's right beside her. He's not a big beer fan, but it's acceptable. He wasn't going to be picky about his alcohol when she was allowing him to break his diet for it. But some grape soju would be nice.

"I really like your apartment." Jungkook comments, looking around at her space with a fond smile. He takes a swing of his beer, swiping his tongue over his lips. He isn't at all focused on the TV in front of him and had no real intention on watching Jimin fight. Too many painful memories.

Andrea shifted her eyes to look at him. "Is that meant to be sarcastic or something?" She knew he lived in some big penthouse in a nice part of Chicago. By no means was she poor, nothing compared to her childhood on the southside but this was certainly an improvement in her eyes. At the height of her career, she bought her mom a house too so she obviously has disposable money.

Jungkook is quick to shake his head. "Why do you think I'm always trying to insult you? I just like your apartment." There was nothing more to it. He liked how cozy it seemed, like a warm blanket on a rainy night. He liked it here. It's the most at ease he's felt in a while, like he'd fall asleep on her couch in the next few minutes if she didn't keep him stimulated. "You should have seen my apartment before I moved, it probably violated a whole bunch of safety regulations."

Andrea found herself chuckling, lifting her bottle to take a mouthful of beer. "Southside?"

"Yep, but I grew up in Koreatown." He missed it there, still lived close by for personal reasons whether it was the sentimental attachment to the people there or the fact that he still insisted on going to the same market he always did to get noodles, banana milk, and everything else because he couldn't stand to eat anything that was meant to be Korean but wasn't really Korean. Like- anyone could tell you fucking Taco Bell is the worst "Mexican" food, no one in their right mind would ever call that actual, authentic Mexican food. "You ever been?"

"No, but it sounds cool." Andrea's sure she's passed through it once or twice on her way somewhere. Or was the Chinatown? She couldn't be sure, it was a while ago. "You gonna take me one day, Jeon?" Her smile is infectious, contagious as Jungkook finds himself smiling with her. He feels a little giddy and there's a slight, inexplicable fluttering of his heart. It always happens when he finds a girl worth a few moments of his time. It's like he falls in love with them, just for that little moment before he gets into bed with them. And then that post-nut charity hits as he realizes he was just horny and it was nothing special. And most importantly, it'll happen again.
