Here we go

We both noticed that it was getting late and decided that we should probably head off too bed. I was actually looking forward to being able to fall asleep without the need of crying myself to sleep tonight. Tom crawled into bed next to me and we were both deep asleep within minutes ,comfortable, pleased and feeling mentally lighter.

We both slept really well that night, so well in fact that it took Tom bringing in a cup of coffee and 2 slices of buttered toast to wake me up. I slept through 3 alarms. "Here you go sleeping beauty, get this down ya neck. We have an hour before we need to leave for work. I know I should have woke you earlier but you looked so peaceful and I know that you need your sleep at the minute." Tom smiled at me while passing me breakfast in bed.

I took a big bite of toast and a huge mouthful of coffee, not realising how hungry I was. It seemed as though my body had other ideas. "Babe, I love you but you may want to move out of the way." I placed my toast and coffee on the bedside table and ran to the bathroom with a hand over my mouth. It only took a few seconds before my body rejected the coffee and toast.

Tom stood at the open bathroom door. "Are you ok sweetheart? Do you want me to get you anything? Has the morning sickness been this bad every day?"

I looked up at Tom from the bathroom floor after wiping my mouth. "To be honest this is the first bout I have had. I don't think baby likes your cooking or brew making skills." I laughed lightly and smiled. Tom chuckled a little too.

"Are you going to be ok going to work? Surrounded by all the food I mean? I can speak to Shirley and ask her to move you if you want?" Tom was now leaning his head against the door frame and looked really concerned. It was sweet considering that yesterday I thought that I would be doing this alone.

"I'll be fine, I don't want any special treatment. Plenty of women work with food while they are pregnant and going through morning sickness. Can you grab me a glass of water while I have a shower though please?" Tom nodded and left me too grab my shower.

We spent the next 45 minutes getting ready, prepped for work and ready to tell Shirley that things were sorted. I couldn't wait to see her face, although I get the feeling that she won't be surprised that we are good again. She did say that we would be. Just as we were about to walk out the door, it started again and I had to run back to the bathroom. Thankfully I was only a few minutes this time and it wasn't as bad as it was first time round.

Walking outside the caravan and allowing the sea air to hit me felt amazing. The air was refreshing and helped ease the nausea that I had been feeling since I took one swig of coffee this morning. The smell of the sea was almost exaggerated as it hit my now stunningly sensitive nostrils but it certainly wasn't unpleasant. The walk down to the cafe didn't take too long and we were both still in time for work despite the delay.

Tom opened the cafe door for me. "After you M'lady." He bowed slightly as I walked in past him giving him a peck on the cheek as I did so. Shirley was stood behind the counter watching us arms crossed in front of her chest with a big grin on her face.

"About bloody time you two. Glad to see that you have patched things up, I was starting to think that I was going to have to lock the pair of you in the sundries cupboard until you had sorted it." Shirley carried on smiling widely and chuckled a little at her thought.

Before I had a chance to speak though the smell of fried eggs hit me and yet again I had to run. I could hear Tom and Shirley talking behind me though. "Keep an eye on her for me Shirl, that's the third time this morning and she hasn't been able to eat anything yet either. She managed a sip of water and that was about it."

"That's it now Tom love, here we go with the symptoms. I will try and get her to eat something and try have a swap around with one of the other girls to put her in the arcade if it doesn't settle down."

I came back out of the toilets looking and feeling flushed. "Sorry about that. I feel ok now though, am I ok to grab a bacon butty before I start please Shirl? I haven't managed to eat anything yet as Tom said and I could murder a bacon sandwich."

"Course you can my love, take a seat and have a breather while I sort it for you. Tom she's in good hands, now get yourself down to the workshop and I will walkie you if we need you." Tom nodded, kissed me goodbye and left for his own shift.

Shirley brought my sandwich over and I drowned it in brown sauce, which I usually hated. Even the smell would turn my stomach but today the smell of it alone made my lips water. Seemed to me as though Shirley was right though, here we go.
