Hello again

I entered the office closely followed by Tom. Sarah and Bobby had already made themselves at home. In the office there was a large desk  and chair with a computer on top and a stand holding a load of leaflets for the local attractions and then behind that was a coffee table and 2 sofas as Shirley liked to make it feel like home. After all the office led straight into her living room.

Sarah and Bobby were sat on one sofa, his hand protectively on her knee, so Tom and I sat on the sofa opposite. "Right, you have 5 minutes. Tell me what it is you have to say, then Tom and I will say our piece and then you can politely fuck off out of our lives." I hissed at them trying not to wind myself up.

Sarah smiled before talking. "Ever the welcome beaut. We have spent so long apart and that is how you greet me, I thought you would have missed me a little. Obviously not though. Despite everything that happened we have been through so much beaut, doesn't that mean anything to you?" I crossed my arms in front of my chest and shook my head at her. She continued. "Anyways, after Bobby came to see you he said that you gave us your blessing and we got married." Sarah thrust her hand out in front of us while grinning like the Cheshire cat on catnip.

"Ok. And what?" My arms remained folded tightly in front of my chest and I shrugged my shoulders at her. Tom and Bobby sat quietly facing each other while Sarah and I spoke.

"Is that really all you are going to say on the matter? I came here to tell you in person, I felt as though we at least owed you that much. Are you not happy for us? Do I not get some gratitude off of you for being respectful enough to tell you in person?" Sarah looked hurt at my response.

"I am very happy because it means that I will never have to deal with the shit from him ever again and you have shown me your true colours. But what I am most happy about is that thanks to you two breaking my heart and destroying the life I had and thought that I wanted, you pushed me here and I found Tom."

"Are you really happy though sweetheart?" Asked Bobby with a look of faux concern in his eyes. He looked warily at Tom before looking back to me and continuing. "Are you sure that you are happy and that you feel safe with someone as violent as he is? If anything seeing what he has done to me last visit and today should show you the sort of person he can be."

Tom looked at me and smiled. "Do you want to take this babe? Or do you want me to speak now?" Tom's hand was still on my knee reassuring me. I gestured for Tom to continue. "First of all Bobby mate, I only seem to be violent when I am around you which tends to suggest that you are the issue and not me. Secondly, I would never lay a finger on her or any woman for that matter. Thirdly, if you weren't so verbally aggressive with her at the last meeting then I wouldn't have been so physical with you this time. Also, does Sarah know what really went down last time? With Y/N giving her blessing and all that?"

"Baby, what's Tom talking about?" Sarah looked at Bobby with accusation and Bobby shuffled uncomfortably. I now smirked like a cat on catnip.

"Go on Bobby, tell her exactly what I said and what Daddy said too." Bobby stayed quiet and flared his nostrils at me, I loved knowing that I was getting to him. "I'll tell you Sarah. He didn't ask for the blessing, he begged me to come home and marry him because everyone was expecting it. Basically, Bobby here had to marry me or risk losing his inheritance. Or let me just clarify, Daddy paid for the wedding and said he didn't care who the bride was as long as Bobby got married and settled down so that Daddy could keep up appearances within the church, the company he owns and the family due to all of Bobby's bad behaviour with drugs, fast cars and cheap women. Thanks to you sleeping with him and now marrying him, I am out of that. How does it feel knowing that you were the contingency plan?"

I could see Bobby clenching his fists and Sarah holding back the tears. "That's not true. Bobby loves me, don't you Bobby bear? Tell her Bobby, tell her how in love we are." Sarah's bottom lip was trembling while mine starting curling into a more evil smile.

Bobby gritted his teeth. "Of course I love you baby. I married you didn't I? And not for the reasons she has said. I married you because I love you not her. She's just bitter because she realises now that she can't come running back to me because I have you. Isn't that it Y/N? Forget about Tom for a second, you are still heartbroken about us really, aren't you?"

I laughed before answering. "Do you know what is worse than a narcissist?" Everyone stared at me. "2 narcissists who don't realise just how narcissistic they are marrying each other. Good luck getting to your first anniversary. By the way, most certainly not bitter and I really do not want you back. Tom and I are happy and we have a great future ahead of us. Don't we baby bear?" The last part was said with a lot of venom and a snark in my voice as I mocked them.

"We are stronger than ever babes." Tom placed his hand on my stomach before looking back over to Bobby and Sarah. "And when baby makes 3, we will be even stronger than you can imagine and certainly stronger than whatever it is that you both think you have."

"You're pregnant!" Bobby practically screamed at us. I smiled at him and nodded while placing my hand over Tom's, which was still on my stomach. Bobby stood up. "I think it is clear that we are done here. We have said our piece, now Sarah and I are off to Aruba next week on honeymoon. We just felt we would be the bigger people and tell you face to face. Were you ever going to tell us about that?" Bobby pointed at my stomach as he spat the last question at me.

"No actually. Last time you were here I told you to never contact me again and to be honest it has fuck all to do with you. Now as you said, and this is something we can finally agree on, we are done here. Don't let the door smack you on the way out." We all stood up and walked towards the door, Tom held it open and gestured for them to leave.

A few minutes later they were speeding off up the road, hopefully never to be seen again. They were welcome to each other.
