Meda paced again and again in the room. This was her second day in there and her stomach started to growl. She was certainly hungry, and thirsty too but there was nothing that she could do about it. She was trapped in here until someone let her out although she knew that no one wanted her out.

She threw her head from side to side as she tried to detect a scent to see if anyone was passing. She detected a scent but they weren't passing, they were inside the room with her. She hadn't smelled them earlier but she hadn't really been trying.

"Who's there," yowled Meda as her muscles tensed, ready to fight if she needed to.

She felt something soft and warm brush against her cheek. She darted around but saw nothing. Now she seemed to be very confused and she tilted her head.

"Who is in here," asked Meda as her lashed her tail to try and show how fierce she really was. However, inside she was quaking inside.

A hissing voice sounded and Meda turned her head. She saw a beautiful figure with golden fur and bright eyes. It was Naviena, her mother.

"Mother," she breathed in awe as she took a step forward with bright eyes. She stretched out her neck and touched her nose to Naviena's nose.

Naviena purred warmly. "I have missed you so much, my love," breathed Naviena as she licked her daughter between the ears affectionately.

Meda felt affection at being with her mother once more. She had missed her so much since she had died and being with Naviena brought back so many memories. "I have to," meowed Meda as she pressed her head against her mother's chest and purred. "Why did you have to go?"

Naviena lifted her head and stared across the door. "Sometimes those who you love most to you are taken from you before you are ready," she confessed as she wrapped her tail around Meda's throat.

Meda suddenly tensed as Naviena began to squeeze Meda's neck. Meda gasped in pain and she reared on her paws as she tried to tug her mother's tail form her throat. "Mom," rasped Meda as tears began to fall from her eyes. "Mom, what are you doing?!"

When she looked over to Naviena she had morphed into the figure of Enthrear. His tail was muscular and was squeezing more and more of Meda's throat and she leaned backwards as her neck seemed to crack under the pressure. "Enthrear."

"I told you that it was time for you to join your mother," whispered Enthrear into Meda's ear.

Enthrear lashed her paw outward and raked it across Enthrear's head. She noticed that no wound appeared on his cheek and surprise shone in her eyes.

"This isn't real," murmured Meda before she closed her eyes and collapsed. When she opened her eyes she saw that Enthrear was gone. She knew that she had been right. The hissing that she had heard was a gas that they had probably used to cause hallucinations. She shook her head madly and growled in rage.

She looked up at what appeared to be a camera and her haunches spiked upward. "You think that this can bring me down? Wolf-hearts," she spat as saliva dripped from her jaws.

She shook her head madly and pawed at her eyes. They had gotten inside her head and learned what was most important to her, Naviena. They had also used what she feared most, Enthrear. They wanted to break her down and force her to listen to them and it was truly working. She was feeling defeated and she had only been in this awful room for two days.

They were trying to break it and it appeared that it was working.

On the third day Meda was let out. She surged forward, growling and spitting in rage as her eyes narrowed. She saw Natasha and rushed toward her. Natasha lowered down and wrapped her in a hug. "Are you okay, Meda?"

Meda could lie and say that she was fine but she just shook her head. "We'll talk about it later. Right now the headmistress needs us."

Natasha tilted her head in confusion. "Now do you know."

Meda turned her head as her shock collar began to beep, alerted her that someone needed her. The only one who could do that had to have the remote and she was sure it was the headmistress.

Natasha gave a nod before she stroked Meda between the ears. "But later today you have to promise me that you'll tell me what happened in there, okay?"

Meda gave a nod but it was a real lie. She wouldn't tell Natasha about the horrible hallucinations that had consumed her thoughts. For right now she wanted to eat, drink, and sleep. However, she needed to see the headmistress before she was given a terrible electric shock.

Natasha led Meda over to the headmistress's office. Natasha knocked and the headmistress muttered for them to come in. Natasha opened the door and the two strode in. Natasha sat in a seat while Meda leaped on another seat, her claws curling into the soft material. She wanted to launch herself at the headmistress but she didn't. That would probably get her killed and she really didn't need to be killed, at least not until she killed Enthrear.

"What do you want," growled Meda as she clicked her teeth together to show that she meant business. She was nearly fully grown and with all of the training she had done she was tone and almost pure muscle. She wasn't one to be messed with, unless it was one of those hallucinations or nightmares that she had fully often.

The headmistress just narrowed her eyes. "I need you two on a mission."

"Mission," echoed Natasha in surprise. "But we haven't completed our training yet."

The headmistress leaned backwards and shrugged. "I'm sure that you two are ready. Besides, it's very simple. All I need you two to do is scout the premises. I want to make sure you two can handle something incredibly simple before I send you out on something very important."

Meda would love to go outside and do whatever she wanted. A patrol was simple and she could maybe scout a way out, if she needed it. "We'll do it," meowed Meda before Natasha could argue it.

The headmistress played with her fingers. "Good. Now get to it. It's better if you two do it in daylight rather than at night. There are dangerous creatures out there."

Meda knew that that was true. Enthrear was out there and she was half hoping to find him. Perhaps she wasn't ready to face him but she could at least give him a nice wound that he would certainly remember.

Natasha shot her a look but Meda flicker her ear, a signal that they had made to say that they would speak about it later. Natasha looked to the headmistress and forced a nod. "Alright. We'll do a good job."

Natasha and Meda exited the room and Natasha kicked Meda harshly in the chest. "Ow," snapped Meda with narrowed eyes. "What's that for!"

Natasha let out what appeared to be a growl like Meda would do. "Now we're going to be stuck outside walking in circles. Where does that get us?"

"Closer to my goals," replied Meda as she blinked her eyes. "I have a score I'm hoping to settle."
