Fulvus lifted his head from the sewer, watching to make sure that no one would be waiting for them. Once he was sure he climbed out with a bit of effort. His shoulder ached but he ignored it. He snaked forward with his head lowered into his shoulders. Meda followed with Natasha behind and Clint bringing up the rear.

Meda opened her mouth and scented the air. Saliva dripped from her jaws as she picked up the scent of something dangerous. She wasn't sure what it was but she knew it wasn't good.

"Do you smell something," Fulvus asked over his shoulder to Meda.

Meda looked around. "I do but I don't know where it's coming from," she confessed as she looked around madly. "But it smells like danger."

That made Fulvus nervous to hear her say that. "Just keep going but don't make a sound," called Natasha in a hushed voice.

Fulvus and Meda nodded and they stalked forward, both using their lion instincts very well. Fulvus licked his beak as he now scented people moving with anger and excitement mixed everywhere.

Suddenly Fulvus stopped and took a step backwards, his tail curled a bit around Meda's shoulder. "What's wrong," gasped Meda in shock.

Fulvus looked forward and what appeared to be a pile of rubble or rocks. "There's something wrong with it. It smells different than everything else," he confessed as he shook his head madly, worry showing in his eyes.

"Stand back," ordered Clint as he stood up and positioned and arrow toward it. Fulvus, Meda, and Natasha hid behind a vendor's stand while Clint shot it. He then dove and it exploded.

It wasn't huge but it would have been enough to severely injure or kill anyone who stepped on it. Meda sucked in a breath. She was glad that Fulvus had scented that or she would have been blown to bits. She wanted to thank him but now isn't the time.

"Well, not they know that we're here," pointed out Fulvus as he looked up to where he thought that men might be hinding. "Looks like we're going to have to fight."

Clint took off his backpack and took out what he had. He had numerous arrows with what Fulvus called 'special tips', three guns with enough bullets for a few clips. He had grenades, rope, and bear traps.

"What are the bear traps for," inquired Meda as she pointed her paw toward them.

Clint nodded over to Fulvus. "Fulvus, would you like to demonstrate?"

Fulvus's eyes lit up as he picked up one bear trap gingerly with his tail. He whipped it around before he threw it toward a pipe. It wrapped around it easily, it's teeth scraping the metal madly. Fulvus looked over to Meda who's eyes shone. "Now that's how griffins use a bear trap."

Meda gave a nod. "Do you think that you could teach me that before we attack? I might be able to do something like that."

Fulvus dipped his head. "No problem. It's really not that hard and you already are able to control your tail so this should be simple."

"When do we attack," asked Natasha as he took her guns from her holsters and set them down, wondering what other weapons she might be able to use.

Clint looked up. "We'll go tomorrow morning. We can't go at night and hopefully they'll think that we're dead from today. It's going to be tricky but it should be alright."

Fulvus then looked over to Meda. "Let's go a bit further down so that we don't aggravate Clint or Natasha."

Meda obeyed and she watched as Fulvus collected the single bear trap and opened it again easily with his beak. They bounded as far as possible before Fulvus stopped and nodded to Meda. "You slip your tail into here but you have to be careful or it'll snap on your tail."
