A girl came at Meda with a knife in her hand. Meda had her tail curled around a specially made knife for her to make holding it a lot easier. True, she still had a bit of trouble but she knew that she was stronger than her opponent so that helped her a little bit.
Once the girl came with her knife extended Meda thrust out a paw and wrapped it around the girl's ankle and forced her forward. She fell sideways with her head slamming into the floor. Meda couldn't help but purr at the way the girl sprawled out in surprise. That's what happens when you take on a full grown lion.
Meda twirled the knife in her tail basically to show off before she slammed it down near the girl's neck, slightly nicking it to show precision. She looked up and the teacher smiled. "Very good, Meda."
"That's not fair," complained the girl with narrowed eyes. "She's a lion. Of course she's going to win!"
Meda looked over her shoulder and gave a lot growl that seemed to shake the ground. "So what? Maybe it is true or maybe you just need to try a bit harder," she roared before she strode over to Natasha, showing where her loyalties lied. Thanks to Meda no one ever had a bad word to say about Natasha, even if they thought something mean about her they never said it.
"Natasha," announced the teacher a bit wearily. "How about you go against Hannah?"
Natasha nodded as she grasped one knife. Meda laid down since she knew that it would keep her calmer. She set the knife between her paws and almost cradled it. It was her special knife and no one but her and Natasha were allowed to touch it.
Natasha lunged first with the knife and did an upper cut. Hannah sidestepped but the knife still grazed her side. Pain and rage still lit in Hannah's gaze as she dove for Natasha. She brought her to the ground and held the knife right above her her head. Natasha pushed Hannah's arm but Hannah was stronger than she looked. Natasha made to change the direction of the knife and it just grazed her forehead instead of stabbing itself into her head.
Meda gave a small whimper as Natasha threw off Hannah and she saw the full effect of the wound. Blood dripped down her face and more oozed out. Natasha wasn't done, though." She threw her knife and it sliced through through Hannah's baggy sweatshirt. Hannah looked down in utter surprise and Natasha took the opportunity to lunge. She went for the lower half and she forced the legs down. Hannah wrested with her and tried to push her off but Natasha held her down.
"Enough," bellowed the teacher and Meda gave a growl of approval. "I think this round goes to Natasha. Nice way to distract your opponent. Hannah, that was a nice jab but put your full body weight into it."
Natasha retrieved her knife and looked at it. There was no blood but there were strands of cloth. Meda bounded over with her knife between her teeth. "Good job," mumbled Meda a she looked up at Natasha.
Natasha smiled as she took the knife from Meda's mouth. "Thanks, you too. You took her down a lot easier than I took mine down."
Meda shrugged. "Don't worry. I'm a lion. I should win my battles easily. Now sit, I want to look at that wound."
Natasha was reluctant but she sat and allowed Meda to have a closer inspection. She saw the pulsing wound and she leaned forward to lick at it. Natasha cringed but Meda kept going.
Natasha raised a hand and grazed Meda's shock collar. "Must you still wear that?"
Meda shrugged as she kept licking the blood away. "For as long as they force me to then yes." Meda had nearly forgotten about her collar before for the last year or so no one had used it on her. Now that she was fully grown she was sure that the shock would bother her less and less. It might still hurt but not nearly as bad.
