Control yourself. This is Pichu's and Piya's first day at school. Don't ruin it. I told myself.

It took a lot of effort from me. But in the end, I managed to bring my anger under control.

"Why do you look so angry just because of a hug?" Anita asked. She was enjoying my misery.

I looked at her with a complicated emotion.

Anita knew Unni from her previous life. Seeing how she was not repulsed by him, I was sure that Anita had a good relationship with him.

I was sad.

But I couldn't say I wasn't expecting this.

From the moment I met her, I knew that she hated me. I knew she couldn't forgive me that easily. I also knew that she might have married someone else after I died.

I died at the age of 35 and returned. I don't know how long Anita lived before returning. She might have lived a long life. She might have gotten married and had kids. I knew all these things. But still, it hurt me a bit.

"What are you staring at?" Anita was angry that I was staring at her without replying.

"Why is he sitting in the middle of two girls if he says that boys and girls shouldn't touch?" I questioned.

"Because I am a child." He replied instantly.

"I am a child too." I replied.

"Hmm... Then you can hug." He gave permission.

Meera was happy to hear that. She turned to me with her hands extended to hug me.

"No. I don't want it now." I rejected her. We were friends for years. Yet she listened to someone whom she had met just a few minutes ago. So I was angry at her and decided to be petty.

Meera looked disappointed and confused.

"Who are you?" Unni asked me.

"I am Achu. Who are you?"

"I am Krishunni." He replied childishly.

"Did your parents give you that name?" I asked.

"Yes." He answered confidently. He also nodded heavily.

"..."

I was left speechless. He was indeed an innocent tiny child. I was angry at him. But seeing his cute face, I couldn't bring myself to hate him.

I decided to look around.

Pichu and Piya wanted to spend time with Meera. So they didn't follow me.

I checked the kids. Many of them were crying. Most of them were unfamiliar faces. Unfortunately, most of my lackeys from play school were in different classes. There were some familiar faces too.

"Hey... Why are you crying?" I asked Deepika.

"Because... mom went." She cleaned her tear and snot with her hair before answering me. She was truly disgusting.

"So what? You spent a year in play school." I reminded her.

"That... I was smaller. Now... I am a big girl."

"Isn't that a reason not to cry?"

"..." She spent some time thinking about how it worked.

In the end, she decided to stop crying and proceeded to clean her face with her hair.

"Did you grow your hair?" I asked. She had short and messy hair. Now it is long and messy. She could even use it to clean her nose.

"Yes. Mom said she want long hair."

"I heard you got a little brother," I asked.

"Yes. Yes. He poops a lot." She was excited and started talking about her new brother.

"Where did you get him from?" I asked.

"Mom said she got him hospital when she went to get her pot-belly treated," Deepika explained.

"Really? I thought the baby was inside mom's belly."

"How?"

"You know, mom and dad kiss and the baby will be inside mom's belly. I heard that from somewhere." I explained while struggling to control my laughter.

"Really?" She was sceptical about my explanation.

"Yes. You can ask your parents if you don't believe me. Just don't tell them that I said it." I decided to make life hard for her parents.

My day felt a lot better once I guaranteed enough trouble for someone else.

The first day at school was just to make the kids familiar with the school environment. So the first day ended soon.

Mom collected us three and waited for Anuchi.
