Where trouble lurks in dark alleyways and kids run into it without flinching. The violence just happens and without heroes on the street level, no one bats an eye. The police are the main eyes who turn away unless it's an avengers level threat and then everyone wants to be involved.
That somewhat changed when Daredevil entered the streets and gave people a little hope when walking home late, some hope that they would make it home safe. He was always there for the people, there when they needed him, and even when they were against him, he was there. Who knew that same man would be there for two siblings everyone gave up on. One where even at home it wasn't safe? The home was only safe once they left and made a new one.
