School felt like it moved in slow motion. Jasper tried working but his mind kept going to the message. The bell rang and he booked it out. He raced down the halls and busted through the front doors.

He descended down the stairs and slowed down as he spotted Matt waiting for him. Jasper made it to Matt and without a word, hugged him tight. Matt flinched slightly and wrapped his arms around him.

"Hey... what's going on kid?" he asked softly, his hand cradling Jasper's head. Jasper sighed shakily, nuzzling into him.

"I.... I got proof of what happened..." he whispered, his words reaching Matt's ears only. "I... I don't know where to go from here..." he muttered, a stray tear falling onto Matt's shoulder. Matt tensed up slightly, holding him close as he listened. He only nodded his head before pulling away, only slightly.

"Let's head to Caroline's and talk about it okay?" Matt asked softly, his hand coming up and cupping Jasper's cheek. Jasper sniffled and nodded his head, his eyes closing for a moment.

"Okay... and... and then what?" Jasper hesitantly asked, opening his eyes and looking up at him. Matt sighed softly, his face softening. Jasper's heart was racing. He knew this kid was lost. Matt knew he was one of the only ones to help him. His voice wrapped around Jasper's worries as he spoke.

"We'll figure it out," he said gently, kissing Jasper's temple. Jasper relaxed, nodding his head as he dropped it slightly.

"Okay," he said softly.

"So his sister sent you this video?" Caroline asked, pacing back and forth as she swirled an iced coffee in her hand. Jasper watched as the ice clacked against the straw and the cup's rim.

"Yeah.. yeah she did, I asked her why today and... and she had her reasons," Jasper explained, playing with the loose threads on his hat.

"What can we do with the video?" Caroline asked Matt, taking a long sip of her coffee before setting it down. Matt sighed, his hands on his hips.

"We could use it since it shows admissible evidence for the court if we're wanting to bring this to court," Matt explained, placing his hand on the fire mantle place. Caroline glanced over to Jasper and hesitantly walked over to him, sitting beside him,

"Jasper," she said gently, taking his hand. Jasper jumped slightly, looking up at her. Once again, he was a little kid. It's like he shapeshifted back into the little boy who never got the chance to be a kid. Caroline sighed softly, her thumb rubbing over his rough knuckles. "This is up to you," she said softly, brushing his blond locks out of his face. Jasper sighed shakily, his hand shaking in her hold.

"Do... do I have to decide now..?" he whispered, glancing between her and Matt. Matt shook his head, walking over and rubbing Jasper's shoulder.

"Not now," he said gently, sitting on the other side of him. "But we can't wait too long or we might not be able to use the footage in court," he explained, his voice professional but soft. Caring. Jasper nodded his head, wiping his cheeks as tears fell.

"Okay..." he whispered, dropping his head slightly. Caroline looked at Matt, biting her lip.

"Do you want some good news?" Caroline asked softly, wiping his cheek. Jasper furrowed his brows as he looked at her and then over at Matt. Matt cracked a small smile.

"What news?" Jasper asked. Matt sighed gently, shifting so he faced him.

"If you want, this is completely up to you." Matt smiled a tad more. "You can move in with me if that's what you'd like," he stated. Jasper looked over at him, his eyes widening as tears rolled down his cheeks. He smiled brightly and hugged him tight, his hands gripping Matt's jacket. Matt's eyes widened before he held him back. Caroline smiled, rubbing Jasper's back as a sob broke out him.

"Yes... yes I-I want that," Jasper sobbed softly, melting in Matt's hold. The three of them stayed like that for what felt like the rest of the night.
