Jasper layed on his bed, writing and scribbling in his journal, the room slowly filling with vape smoke that leaked through the open window. He wanted to place together all events, everything that happened to him to land him here.
Here is a home where he was safe and content, for now. Matt spoke to him over the few weeks, their conversations sparse from his work piling on but still consistent.
Jasper's thoughts drifted to the process he put himself through to bring him... home? Could he even call a place with Matt home? He felt he didn't know him very well but... that sense of comfort radiated from their bond and he trusted it.
Jasper tucked his vape under his pillow as he tucked the pen between his teeth. He ripped out a page and ripped it into two before crumpling it into a ball and tossing it across the room. He exhaled, taking the pen out of his mouth and placing it down.
His phone buzzed beside him and then buzzed again. Jasper raised a brow as he picked it up. He unlocked his phone, his locker screen taken by Quinn. He pulled the messages and tensed up as he pulled himself into a sitting position.
Unknown number:
I'm sorry what happened to you. I found something to prove it. Please don't ask how.
Under the message was a video file. Jasper wanted to throw up. He wanted to throw his phone into the toilet and fry the memory but...
He couldn't. This was proof. He closed his phone before he got up.
He poked his head into Quinn's room and found music playing softly. Quinn sat on her bed, her cheeks wet as she stared at her phone. Jasper's brows furrowed as he knocked on the door frame. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked up.
"H-hey what's up..." she said quietly, wiping her cheeks.
"You okay?" Jasper asked, walking in and sitting beside her. She smiled slightly, wiping her cheeks before she nodded her head.
"Yeah I'm okay," she muttered. "What's up with you?" she asked, raising a brow as his worried expression stayed on his face. Jasper hesitated before handing his phone to her.
"Someone sent me... sent me the video..." he said quietly. Quinn shifted and looked at the message.
"The video?" she asked, looking up at him. Jasper nodded his head.
"The video. I don't know the number," he stated. "Do.. do you?" he asked quietly. Quinn nodded, pulling out her phone and scrolling till she hit the same number.
"Elise," she whispered, her face turning pale. Jasper looked at her, confusion lacing his expression.
"Elise who?" he asked. Quinn sighed shakily.
"Elise Brown. Jake's sister." she solidified, getting up. "He'll kill her if he finds out she sent that to you," she stated.
"Where are you going?!" Jasper stated as he followed her out and down the stairs. Quinn pulled her shoes on and a jacket.
"I'm going to get her and bring her here." she stated. Jasper tensed at the determination in her voice and the expression painted on her face.
"Jake isnt just a bully at home is he." Jasper muttered. Quinn's jaw clenched.
"Yeah... it's not just him too," she whispered. "Her dad... he's just like yours," Jasper sighed and got in her way, his body tense as he blocked the door. He kept his eyes glued to the ground."We need to be smarter about this, I know what it's like for people to try and help and..." he exhaled, his hands shaking. "She'll have to go home if theres no proof and he'll just make everything worse than it was," he muttered. His eyes connected with hers. "We gotta be smart about this... we gotta talk to her about it first,"
