Rye had gone out for a walk while I had to help my parents at home with some files or something. They didn't exactly specify what they needed help with when they asked me.

It was 10am and we had just finished cleaning the table from breakfast. We went to my dad's office and we sat down as I hummed.

"Okay, so." My dad spoke up, getting mine and my mom's attention. "I was thinking maybe we could clear out the garage and the attic from old things we don't need anymore. Maybe free up some space for newer things we could store." He looked at both of us as I looked at them and nodded.

"I'm okay with that, as long as you are." I spoke as they both agreed.

"Okay, so let's go see what we have to deal with." We all got up and made our way to the garage first. We looked around and started taking down boxes, clearing them out into piles of keep, throw away and the maybe's. We also made sure to separate the keeps into boxes just so it would be easier for us to find them if we ever needed them.

Time flew by fast and once we were done with the garage, it was already time for lunch so we would clear the attic some other time. The chef had lunch almost ready by the time we went into the house and the maid had made the table. I forgot to mention that we would get a chef to cook on days that we knew would be busy for all of us. As soon as we sat down, I let a sigh fall off my lips.

"So, Andy." My dad said. I turned my head to look at him. "How are things with you and Rye?" He asked.

"Good. He's incredible." I smiled, looking away then back at them to see them smiling, as well.

We were waiting for Rye to come before we started eating. It didn't take long before the sliding door to the backyard was heard and Rye appeared.

"Oh, there he is!" My dad exclaimed as soon as he walked outside.

"Hi!" He spoke, taking a seat next to me. I turned to look at him to find him looking at me already.

"Where have you been?" I asked, raising an eyebrow playfully.

"Out. Exploring." I could tell that he was lying but I quickly brushed it off. We started eating as I hummed softly.

As soon as we finished, Rye went upstairs while I stayed back to help my parents clean up. I threw away the leftover food and placed the dishes in the sink before going upstairs. I went to Rye's room, hearing a guitar strumming and when I paid close attention, he was singing. I knocked on the door softly.

"Come in!" He shouted. I opened the door carefully and stepped into his room, closing it behind me. "Hi, babe." He smiled, placing the guitar down. I walked up to him and sat on the bed. He placed his hands on my cheeks and pulled me in, locking our lips into a soft kiss.

"Where were you? I missed you." I questioned as we broke the kiss.

"I missed you, as well and I told you, I was out exploring. I felt like going out on my own to get some fresh air so I did." There it was. I couldn't figure out if he was lying or not but I could tell that he was hiding something.

I slid up on the bed as soon as he laid back, laying my head on his chest, his hand going straight into my hair. I closed my eyes, letting myself relax under Rye's touch. I was soon asleep. In the only place that I felt safe.

Quite some time later, Rye shifted from under me, leaving me on the bed and out of his embrace. I groaned and turned around, not bothering to wake up properly as my eyes felt like they had glue on them.

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" The bed was bouncing and my best friend's Irish accent couldn't be any more annoying. "Andy, wake up!" He basically shouted in my ear.
