Today was the day that a boy would come stay with us for the whole summer. My parents somehow knew his parents and they had asked my parents if he could stay with us as they wanted to spend time alone. Of course, my parents agreed. I hadn't met him before so this would be my first time meeting this 'mysterious' boy. The only things I knew about him were his name and his age. Ryan Beaumont, 21 years old. I was 19 years old. My parents thought we would have so many things in common due to our age being close.

It was currently 8 am. He would arrive at 9 am so my parents were on their way to pick him up from the airport. I chose to stay behind as I knew our first time meeting shouldn't be at an airport. I sat on the couch and unlocked my phone. I started going through the notifications as I hummed a soft tune to myself.

"Andrew, we are back!" I heard my dad shout, snapping me back to reality as I didn't notice how time passed by, being distracted by my phone.

"Coming!" I shouted and got up while sighing. I walked towards the front door where they were and I stopped in my tracks when I saw him.

There he was. Right in front of me. Looking more handsome than I expected him to be since my parents hadn't shown me a picture of what he looked like.

"I'm Ryan but you can call me Rye." He spoke, bringing me back to reality. I looked at him, shaking my head slightly.

"I'm Andrew but you can call me Andy." I took the hand he had laid out for me and shook it softly.

"Pleasure to finally meet you, Andy." He gave a warm smile as we broke the handshake.

"Right back at you." I returned the smile as I pulled my hand to myself, placing both of my hands behind my back.

"Darling, why don't you show Ryan the way to the room he will be staying?" My mom spoke, making me turn to her.

"Yes, of course." I nodded. "Follow me," I told Rye and smiled, turning to head upstairs. He took his luggage and followed me. Soon, we reached his room and I opened the door, letting him step in to leave his things inside.

"Your house is amazing." He spoke, turning to me once he had left his things down in the room. "As far as I saw at least." He chuckled softly.

"Thank you so much. I have some things to tell you to do and not to do." I smiled softly. "Come on, my parents will be waiting for us to eat breakfast." He walked out and closed the door behind him.

"I'm listening." He said as we started heading downstairs.

"Okay, so. There is a key in the lock of your room in case you want to be alone, you can just lock it. You can go to the kitchen whenever you want, even at night, we don't mind as far as you don't make much noise." I was walking first, him following behind as we were heading to the backyard where we would eat breakfast.

"I don't think you should worry much about that. I'm not much of a noisy person." He chuckled as I licked my lips softly.

"You can wake up whenever you feel like but breakfast is from 7 am until 11 am so if you want to eat, I would advise you to be up between these times. Breakfast always includes coffee, tea, and orange juice but the food sometimes changes, lunch has different food every day and it starts at 1:30 pm and ends at 3 pm, dinner changes as well but it starts at 7 pm and ends at 9 pm." He nodded as he looked around, taking in the decorations. I opened the sliding door and walked outside, him following, the view of the pool making him gasp.

"You have a pool?" He asked, looking around as I headed to the table.

"Yes, we do. You can use it whenever you feel like swimming, I sometimes swim at night or just come here and think when I find it difficult to sleep." I spoke as I sat down and he soon took a seat at the table with us. I took some food from the plates around, putting it in mine before I started eating. Silence took over before my mom decided to break it.
