Where Did It All Go Wrong?

my art :> ignore the scribble on takemichi's face(thought it was ugly at first, but continued it and it turned out well). And I know on this chapter, his hair is down, but i was using a pen so it's like that. Anyways, on with the chapter!!!

Takemichi's POV

I slowly stood up, ignoring the pain and the 'wanting-to-rest' state that I was in. A few feet away from me, there stood Mikey-kun with his menacingly appearance.

"Why did you stand up...with that beaten body of yours?" Said Mikey-kun, with no emotion at all, "Did you really think you have a chance to win against me?"

I knew from the very beginning I couldn't defeat Mikey-kun. Heck, even fighting him never crossed my mind since he's my friend. But in this situation, I'll have to-no, I need to try with all the might I have left. Even if I end up dead.

With the energy I still had, I answered:

"I made a promise to the future you..."

"...to Baji-kun..."
I remember a small glimpse of Baji-kun saying his last words while dying in Chifuyu's arms.

Bleeding on the ground was Draken-kun saying his last wishes after he got shot protecting both Senju-san and me.

"That's why..." I clenched my fist, ran towards Mikey-kun and I was ready to punch.

"I WILL NEVER LOSE!!!"

I exclaimed as I tried to get my fist to touch his face, but Mikey-kun sent me flying across with his powerful kick.

'He is really going to kill me if I continue.' Lying on the ground, breathing heavily, I was getting scared. But the words and encouragement I received from my talk with Hina, and screamed to the sky about my feelings before the battle, I had the strength to stand up again.
It made Mikey surprised.

'I'VE THROWN AWAY ALL MY FEAR.'

I gained my strength and once again ran towards Mikey-kun to land a punch on him.

But yet again I was hit by his kick.

My vision was staring to get blurry.

My hearing was getting bad.

I kept panting, I was getting worn out. "You really should be dead right now." I heard Mikey-kun said.

I looked at him with determination, 'I won't give up!'
I dashed(again) to him then suddenly I saw a vision of me getting hit by Mikey's kick to my head and I flung away.
'What was that?!'
But it was too late, I was hit and was hurled forcefully like what I saw in the vision.

'Was that a vision?!'
This was the 'nth' time I stood up.
