Feyre Stark was born to Rickon Stark's younger brother, Edward Stark, and his wife, Saoirse Redwyne. When Feyre had reached her seventh name day, she had shown magical ability when she healed a cut on her younger brother, Cedric's, hand. When word of her magic reached all about the kingdom, Feyre and her family were called to King's Landing to be presented to King Viserys and Queen Aemma.
"Momma?" The little girl looked up at her mother, "Why are we here?"
Lady Saoirse, who was heavily pregnant with her third child, smiled at her daughter, "Because, my dearest , you were gifted by the gods with a gift, and the king wants to see how special you are."
The family's carriage stopped in front of the King's castle and the guards led them inside. The massive size of the foyer made Feyre stop walking, afraid to go to the throne room.
Her father noticed his daughter's hesitance. He stopped the group and kneeled down to meet Feyre's eyeline, "What is wrong, little wolf?"
"I'm afraid, Papa," Feyre whispered.
"Afraid of what, my child?""That I'll mess up and everyone will laugh at me," Feyre told her father, tears in her eyes.
Edward grabbed his child gently by her shoulders, "You listen to me, Feyre Stark. No matter what happens when we enter the hall, you will always be special to your family; that is all that will matter. Now, you go in there, and knock all of those spoiled pricks on their asses.""Edward Stark!" Saoirse quietly scolded her husband, "Young ladies shouldn't be exposed to such words."
Feyre's father let out a boisterous laugh and placed a kiss on his wife, "My apologies, sweet wife."
Edward then walked ahead, his wife and children following behind him. Feyre felt a hand nudge her side and saw Cedric holding out his hand for her to take. The girl took her brother's hand with a grateful smile. The family entered the throne room where the royal family and the entire court was waiting for them. Feyre's eyes flitted about the room, her nervousness growing as she observed everyone's facial expressions. Some were watching the young girl with curiosity, while others looked very skeptical.
The family stopped in front of the Iron Throne and King Viserys called from his seat, "Ser Edward!"
"Your Grace," Edward greeted Viserys with a smile, as if they were old friends.
Viserys greeted Feyre's mother, "Lady Saoirse, you are glowing," He looked down at the children , "Oh, these two must be your children"
Edward pushed the twins in front of him, "My king, these are my children: Cedric and Feyre."
Feyre and Cedric bowed and curtsied, "Your Grace."
"Very polite children," Viserys smiled, "Now, Feyre is the one with the magic, am I correct?"
"Yes, your grace," Edward layed a hand on Feyre's shoulder, "She's our little gifted one."
Viserys nodded, "Alright then, show me."
Feyre froze as all eyes fell on her. Her breathing got fast as she looked around the room, trying to find something to balance her. Feyre's eyes locked with a girl, about her age, who was standing near the throne; hair as white as snow. The girl smiled at Feyre, and everything melted away.
Suddenly, it was just Feyre and the girl; no one else in the world. Feyre didn't know why, but she felt some sort of bond with this girl; like the gods designed for them to meet.A deep voice brought and gasps brought Feyre out of her reverie, "Brilliant! Absolutely enchanting!"
The entire throne room was covered with vines and flowers; a stark contrast from the iron. Feyre noticed that the king was looking to his left. She followed his eyeline to see that the girl Feyre was just locking eyes with was now sporting a crown made of daisies.
