*SIX MONTHS LATER*
Being back in King's Landing felt like being home again. Feyre gazed out the window at the sun reflecting off the Narrow Sea. She felt happier here in a day than she ever did in Highgarden.
Feyre felt a small hand tug on her sleeve. She looked down to see Princess Helaena looking up at her with a heartwarming innocence.
"Hello, my little Princess," Feyre picked up the child and placed her on her lap, "You're so sweet, yes you are."
Helaena let out little giggles as she was bounced by her aunt. Ever since Feyre returned and learned that she was with child, she has been avoiding her husband and spending all her time with Alicent and the children.
She would spend every minute of her day with Rhaenyra, but she was saddened to learn that she was away on a courting tour. So, she kept herself busy in other ways.
"You know, I think you're the only one, besides me, that she lets hold her," Alicent looked at her daughter fondly.
Feyre smiled at her friend, "I am very honored."
"Very soon, you'll have one of your own," Alicent laid a hand on Feyre's pregnant belly, "Have you thought of names?"
"Nothing has really come to mind," Feyre shrugged as she rubbed her belly, "But I'm sure some will soon."
Alicent nodded and took her hand back, "Have you told Rhaenyra yet?"
"We've exchanged ravens, but I want to tell her in person," Feyre sighed and laughed, "I mean, would you want your friend to tell you that they were pregnant in a letter?"
"I found out that my friend had went off to war in a letter," Alicent narrowed her eyes at Feyre.
Feyre grimaced, "I am truly sorry for that...again."
"I forgive you," Alicent smiled and took Feyre's hand, "Just never do it again."
"I promise never to go to war ...without telling you first."
"Feyre!" Alicent smacked her shoulder with a scolding glare, "It is not proper for a lady to fight in wars, especially in your condition."
Feyre rolled her eyes, "Gods, Alicent! I'm pregnant, not crippled."
They laughed together, making Helaena giggle along. Their laughter dies down as Corrine walks in the room.
"King Viserys and Prince Aegon," Corrine announces their arrival.
Viserys walks in with Aegon rested on his hip. He smiled at the two ladies and set the three-year-old down, "Good day, ladies."
Alicent and Feyre bow their heads in respect to the King, "Your Grace."
Aegon squeezed himself between his mother and aunt. He laid his head on Feyre's shoulder and began playing with her hair.
Feyre laughed and wrapped her free hand around Aegon, "Hello, my little Prince."
Aegon smiled and babbled out her name. Everyone laughed and cooed at Aegon, making the little boy laugh even more.
Corrine walked towards Feyre, letter in hand, "Lady Feyre, this arrived for
you this morning.""Thank you, Corrine," Feyre smiled and opened the letter, "Oh, it's from Daemon!"
Feyre,
I am happy to report that the Triarchy is officially dismantled and done with. I'm returning to King's Landing. In fact, I should have flown in by the time this reaches you. I cannot wait to see you.
